Niall's POV

A month later and I'm back at Los Angeles doing some recording at the studio for days now.

Before I head to the recording studio, I stopped by a coffee shop to buy some coffee for myself and the band.

"We will bring it to you after 10 minutes, sir. You may sit on the waiting area while you wait for your name to be called." The barista said and I followed his instructions

After paying for our coffee I sat on one of the sofas and texted my band mates that I'll be a little late.

"Niall." A woman beside me called my name and I got nervous because someone recognized me

When I looked at her, I sighed in relief and said "Jesus Christ. (Y/N), hi. Wow, it's been a long time. How are you?"

"I'm great. How about you?" She asked "I'm sorry did I scare you?"

"Yeah, a little. For a moment there I thought you were a fan." I chuckled "Anyways, I'm good thank you."

"We keep meeting like this. I mean I feel like I always make you nervous when I call your name." She giggled

"Good to see you here in L.A. What's keeping you busy here?" I asked

"Internship. I'm actually on my way there to meet my boss." She said "You?"

"Heading to the studio after I grabbed my coffee." I said

"Ms. (Y/N)." The barista called her name

"Well, I better get going." She said and stood up from her seat and grabbed her hot brew coffee "See you around."

"Hey, (Y/N)." I called her before she leaves the coffee shop "Uhm, maybe we should hang out this weekend and grab a coffee while we catch up."

"Yeah, sure. That would be lovely." She smiled "Here's my number."

"Alright, then. See you around and have a great day." I smiled

"You too. Bye, Niall."

(Y/N)'s POV

"(Y/N), do you understand?" The secretary asked

"Huh? I'm sorry I--" I said

"If you were just listening then it wouldn't be a problem. Anyway, always pay attention and always do what your boss's say." She said "Mr. Julian Bunetta will be meeting you in a minute."

"Alright, thank you." I nodded

I took a deep breath and sat down again. I was getting nervous because any moment now my first day of being an intern on one of the biggest record label will start soon.

I didn't want to mess things up because this internship is very important to me and I'm grateful that I've been accepted because this company only accepts two to three students.

"Holy moly. Am I late?" Adrian said once the elevator doors open

"Adrian? What are you doing here?" I asked

"I'm here for the internship." He breathlessly said "You?"

"I'm here for the internship as well." I said

"You're right on time Mr. Adams. Ms. (Y/L/N) and Mr. Adams, please follow me." I stood up and walk beside Adrian

Adrian is my co-worker on the record store. I didn't knew he applied for an internship with the same company as mine.
