I suddenly grabbed Mark's hand and pulled us to our feet, smiling. I tilted my head, "Have any extra clothes, Mark?" He nodded slightly, confused. I smiled more.
"Alright," I said, taking a step back, glancing at my classmates. "I'll need them." I felt as my bones separated to form a new skeleton.
I gritted my teeth in pain and red fur sprouted out of my pores, engulfing my body. My ears became pointed and I felt them move upward onto the top of my head.
My posture became rigid and I felt my hands turn into paws. I sat down and wrapped my now exposed tail around my paws.
I tilted my head and looked at Mark. I wagged my tail as he came near and patted my head.
I stood up and spread my wings, motioning Mark to hop onto my back. He did that, and I felt him grip my neck while I lifted my wings up high. I flapped them a couple of times, backing up. I went off running, flapping my wings furiously. I felt my paws leave the ground and we went soaring.
I heard Mark laugh and that made me soar downwards, wanting him to laugh more. I flew upwards, catching a chilly draft. flew in the air and did a backflip, feeling Mark clutch onto me for dear life. I landed back down near the others.
Mark hopped off right when the bell rang, signaling the end of school. I sat down as mark reached in his pocket to hand me the extra clothes.
I quickly went inside, before others can see me. I changed into the new clothes and ran into Mr. Barron's classroom to get my backpack.
I ran outside to get my coat, not bothering to put it on to cover my wings. I'm not hiding anymore.
I smiled to Mark, "That was fun." I smiled as he kissed my head in agreement.
