Mariah...?

We all burst through the melted door, Mark by my side, Me with my tail lashing and my wings spread a little bit, Maraih and Abe, looking determinated.

We saw a guard point at us and run towards us. 'God, this idiot is stupid.' I took a step back with my right foot and one step foward with my left. I opened my mouth and shot a fireball at the guard. We heard a wail and I looked around, panicing. I started breathing heavy, but I managed to swallow the fear down.

"Let's go.." We ran up stairs, while I had to change in wolf form. Behind me I hear Abraham and Mariah mutter about the scars on my back. I stopped in the doorway, not looking down. I took a step foward, but before Mark could yell a warning, I stepped in a bear trap. i held my tongue from the scream that was threatening to let lose. I tear slid down my furred face as I registered the pain.

I looked down at my paw. "Fuck..." I whispered. I burnt the chain that was holding the trap to the ground, and I burnt the chain. I limped foward, but fell onto the marbled floor. I got back up and took anoither step forward, this time not falling. I sighed, turned my head and said. "C'mon, guys We're-" I was cut off from the shocked scream from Mariah. I whipped around to see Mariah having a knofe to her neck. I walked around her so I could see the person who had the knife.

Ugh.. Not again...

'Jd leave me alooooooooooooone!' I wanted to scream this in his face, but I was to scared for my friend.

"Kelly." Jd turned his hate filled gaze on me and I un consciously cringed under his eyes.

"What do you want?" I tried filling my voice with confidence, but it failed me. I looked like a weak puppy.

I stepped closer to Jd and Mariah, but Jd gripped his knife tighter and pressed it harder to Mariah's throat. I looked at Mark, who was standing there, glaring at Jd, and I looked at Abe, who was shaking with anger for his gf.

"Step any closer and the girl gets killed." Jd threatened. I sat back, and glared at Jd. "I heard you almost killed my father."

"THAT BITCH IS YOUR FATHER?!" I shreiked. Jd narrowed his eyes and in a flash he was gone, leaving us with mariah and her doubling over; holding her neck. I ran up to her. and nudged her.

"Mariah...?" SHe threw hear head back, revealing her cut through throat. She imeadeantly passed out. I caught her and changed human. I waved a hand over her throat and the would cleared up. "She'll be able to talk and laugh in a week or so...." I squeaked.

I looked over my shoulder as a shadow loomed over me.

"Wh-" I said as a gag went in my mouth and I passed out as I heard Mark scream my name and a big crack.
