"So!" Jason said quietly, our footsteps echoing through the stone halls. "What so we do now-" I cut him off by slapping him in the jaw and pointing behind us. I was right.
Burnzy was a bitch.
Burnzy grinned at me, "You really think you can kill me like that?"
I looked back at him, risking a glance at Mark and said, "No... I'd prefer you to die slow and painfully."
"Like you will be?" Burns grinned and lunged at me, flipping me onto my back. I'm sorry to say this, but my terrified scream - mixed in with a lot of pain - filled the air. My screams are one in a million. I can break glass with my scream.
The book sprawled out of my coat pocket and Mark quickly picked it up. Luckily, Burns didn't see it. PSH. Typical Burns.
I felt some weight get off me and u instantly slammed into the wall. I looked at Mark, who was glaring at Burnzy from the wall too.
"Let us go." Mark snarled. The others joined in too, demanding release. Burnzy shushed them and walked over to me, the only one on this wall, hanging by invisible chains... At least, I hope they're chains
"You, my friend, deserve something special." Burnzy snapped, gleefully. I snorted.
"What is it? A cake...?" Burns left the hallway and came back with a whip. I looked at it horrified. Hands held against my head, I was invulnerable.
"Recognize this? Or do you not know what it is?" Burnzy chuckled at my horrified face. I was unable to utter a word, so he continued.
"Either I use it on you, Kelly, or your precious boyfriend..." The prince walked over to the chained Mark and put the whip under his chin, Mark snarling at Burnzy.
Mark started to say something but I cut in, "Use it on me."
Silence fell heavy in the hallway. I looked shyly at Mark, seeing his horror stricken face.
I looked at Burnzy, unable to look at my Mark anymore. "Well?" I lashed my tail impatiently. "Let's get this over with." Burnzy grinned and flicked his hand, releasing my chains from my wrists.
I landed perfectly on my feet and flashed a grin to Burns and he raised the whip in the air and cracked it in the air. I flinched inside, but not out.
Burnzy snapped his fingers and chains wrapped their selves around my ankles. I turned my back towards him and spread my wings.
"Ready when you are.." I grinned as I felt Burns being the whip down on my back.
I arched my back in pain, but did not yell. Not in front of everyone here.
Beyond the whip, I heard Mark scream my name, and Mariah and Sheri crying.
Burns let down the whip again, harder this time and I felt a tear trickle down my face, onto the ground. Burning the wood floor.
Just as I had hoped for.
Acid.
Burns continued whipping my back until I was screaming in pain. He stopped and stared at me.
In spite of the pain and blood, I started laughing, black spots forming in my eyes.
"Wha-" Burns dropped the bloody whip and stared at me. I snapped my fingers and the chains around my ankles, and my friends broke. Mark ran over to me and gently touched my back.
I winced and slapped his hand away, and limped over the Burnzy.
I leaned in and uttered in his ear, "Don't mess with servants."
I backed up and huddled the others behind me, Mariah gasping at the sight of my back.
I flashed Burnzy a grin and I stomped on the ground, all of us but burns falling through, into the ground.
I quickly waved my hand over all of us and we disappeared.
And reappeared somewhere I didn't think I'd ever see again.
My school. With that, I let the darkness take over and I fell to the ground. Last thing I saw was people's feet running towards me.
