"This is useless."

"Wooyoung..."

"No, Seonghwa."

"Stop." Seonghwa set a hand on his friend's arm. "He just broke up with his girlfriend, and you're expecting him to be what? Happy?"

Wooyoung sighed. "He doesn't deserve to be sitting there, crying his heart out, either. It's not fair. She got away with crushing his heart and leaving him alone."

"It's normal to react this way," Seonghwa replied, looking at Mingi softly. "I wish he wasn't in so much pain, too."

"He's not talking to us. I can't help but get mad."

"I know." Seonghwa returned to Wooyoung's bedroom, where Mingi now lay wrapped with the thickest blankets he could find.

"Mingi?" The oldest softly asked.

"What?" the croaky voice replied.

"Can we help you at least distract yourself with something? Food? Games? Uhm..."

As Mingi thought of his options, the front door of the apartment opened, and all three heard keys dangle from someone's hand.

"Oh. Sannie's here," Wooyoung commented. Seonghwa and Mingi looked at him in question.

"Who?"

"My new roommate. Did I not tell you? Hold on." Wooyoung left the room to greet his friend.

"So?" Seonghwa asked. "Anything we could buy?"

"F-Food would be nice." A small, damaged smile appeared on Mingi's face. It hurt to see it. He was trying too hard to think positively.

"I'll go with Woo, then. Think you can stay here in your little blanket fort?" Seonghwa teased.

"Yeah."

Soon the plan was made. Wooyoung and Seonghwa buy food, and Mingi stays in bed — deep in thought. His back faced the doorway so he could only peek at the open blinds displaying its rainy scenery to Mingi. In other circumstances, he would love to see the view. He would even open the window to stick his head out and see the rain. Now he didn't feel strong enough to do so.

"Hello?"

Mingi's thoughts cut. His mind swerved around the unfamiliar voice behind him.

"Huh?"

"I'm sorry for disturbing you. Wooyoung told me not to enter, but I thought it sounded serious, and—" he sighed. "Maybe I should have stayed in my room instead. Sorry, I'll go—"

"No!" Mingi quickly rolled his back to face the man. He squinted, trying to get a good look. The light behind him seemed to prevent it. "I-I'm Mingi."

"San. It's nice to meet you." San fought between approaching the man or just nodding his head. He chose the latter. "May I ask what's wrong?"

Mingi sighed. It hurt already, so telling one more person couldn't hurt, right?

"I... My girl— My ex-girlfriend dumped me. She just left without a word."

"Oh... I'm sorry." San stepped forward slowly until he reached the edge of the bed, on which he sat. The overall gloominess in the room lowered. Mingi suspected it was the man's aura. "People are so stupid sometimes. They don't realize the best moments or people in their life until it's long gone. She made a mistake. A big one."

"R-Really?" Mingi's puffy eyes blinked and looked like glass. San wanted to coddle him. He seems like a big baby.

"Yeah. I wouldn't let a sweet guy like you go if I'm smart. Just know that she's missing out on a good relationship with you."
