It was a lovely winter morning when two figures stood outside, admiring the snow.

"Seonghwa, how many ducks are you going to make?"

"As many as it takes, Mingi."

The male laughed and sat down on a nearby bench. He'd give the omega some space. "I'll wait here, then."

But back home, a completely different mood filled the entire house.

"Woo, the table!"

"Jongho, take the trash out!"

"That's not my job!"

"Do it!"

"Get Yeosang."

Hongjoong rolled his eyes. "Someone take it out. Anyone."

"Why don't you? Since you want it done," Wooyoung challenged.

"I will take you outside and stuff your face into the snow until it burns."

"Do it, shortie—" Wooyoung gasped when Hongjoong held a hand on his neck against the wall.

The interaction surprised no one.

Yunho sighed while mixing the cake batter. "Can't we last a few hours by ourselves without trying to kill each other?"

"Yeah. I thought we weren't supposed to be hostile towards each other anymore," San added.

"Seonghwa really toned us down, didn't he?" Yeosang chuckled.

"That boy has taken us everywhere," Hongjoong muttered with a sigh. Then he checked to see if the food was ready for later. "Back to work."

"Seonghwa! You're going to use all your energy for later!" Mingi yelled at the cat hybrid, who now ran across the yard filled with snow.

Seonghwa stopped, panting. "What's later?!"

"Just come back!"

"No! Tell me!"

"Come back~!" Mingi tried to persuade.

But Seonghwa only pouted and crossed his arms. "No."

Mingi groaned and walked through the tall inches until he stood in front of Seonghwa.

"This again?"

"I wanna know," he whispered.

"It's a surprise, okay? That's all I can say."

The dark green color of Seonghwa's eyes seemed to strangely flash a brighter shade the more Mingi stared.

"The others are waiting for us back home."

Seonghwa felt his cold nose burn inside. Tears came to the brim of his eyes. Mingi sighed and rubbed his furry ears.

"I'll give you a hint, okay?"

"Mhm."

"What's today?"

"Thursday."

Mingi laughed. "Well, yes. But something else."

"What?"

"That's your hint. Now come on: piggy-back or walk?"

Seonghwa softly smiled and allowed Mingi to pull him up on his back.

"Thank you, Mingi," he whispered and snuggled his head a little closer to the man's neck.

"Of course."
