"Bye, mom, I'm going to the park!" Wooyoung shouted while opening the door.

"Don't come home too late, honey!"

"Yeah, yeah. Just hanging out with our group."

Wooyoung secured his satchel that was across his back and began walking down the street. It was neither too cold nor too hot—just a regular cloudy day in his neighborhood.

"Hey! Wooyoung!"

Wooyoung met a few friends on the way. Yunho and San. The pair was also on the way to the park for their hangout.

"So," Yunho began, ready to gossip.

Wooyoung sighed, already knowing what was coming. "What?"

"You and Yoongi," San smirked. "Any news about prom?"

"I don't know."

"Really? You don't know, and you're the most obvious couple in the world?!"

"Shh!" Wooyoung pushed Yunho. "We're just friends. There's nothing romantic."

"'Just friends,'" San mocked in a higher voice. "That's not what Yoongi said."

"Huh?!" The two began to laugh. Wooyoung frowned. "I hate you guys."

"We love you too, Wooyoung."

Every Tuesday and Friday evening, a group of students would meet at the park to chill and talk about anything but school. It was nice, and the group had been together since middle school.

"Hey Yoongi," Taehyung teased. "Here comes Wooyoung."

Yoongi rolled his eyes as his best friend came into view. "Yeah, I see that."

Taehyung and Jimin snickered.

"Oh, there's something there," Yeosang said out loud. The group agreed, except Yoongi. He huffed and looked away.

"You think they're... soulmates?" Seokjin proposed.

"......"

The group erupted into loud laughter. Everyone cackled so hard that tears ran down their cheeks.

"Jin did not just say the 'S' word!" Mingi howled.

"Hey, hey! What are we laughing about?" Yunho asked.

Jongho wiped his tears as he tried to catch his breath. "Y-Yoongi... a-and Woo... Wooyoung. Soulmates!"

San and Yunho joined them in laughter. Wooyoung rolled his eyes and silently watched them.

Yoongi took a deep breath and made a gesture for the younger to follow. The two slipped away to the playground.

"When did we ever become friends with them?" Wooyoung laughed.

"I honestly have no idea."

"I never understood what was so funny about soulmates."

Yoongi agreed. "Maybe they don't believe in it?"

"Could be." Wooyoung looked at the older. "Do you?"

"Not really, no." Yoongi saw off into the distance. "But I don't think it's impossible."

"People make it out more than it should be. That's probably why our idiot friends laugh."

"Do you?"
