[ Connor <•> Kara ]

C: bet you're glad today.

K: of course I am. The assessments were crazy...

K: and that just made me wonder how you were so normal throughout the entire week.

C: well...

C: unlike you, I don't worry a lot about the assessments.

C: it's the finals that count.

K: Mrs. Kent said you almost flunked last year too.

C: ...

C: why did Mom tell you that? This is unacceptable!

K: get used to it.

C: used to what? You being my Mom's gossip buddy?

K: this isn't gossip.

K: she was actually worried about you and your studies.

C: for the last time Kara, just because you can age and I am going to remain 19 forever doesn't mean you can lecture me about stuff.

***

K: how have your classmates not noticed by now that you don't age?

C: idk

C: I was older than them when I started, still am an year or two older than them.

C: I think if I went to college with the same people, then they would notice that I am still the same while they've aged.

K: close call.

C: maybe I won't go to college at all.

C: too much hassle.

K: ...

K: I feel terribly sorry for Mrs. Kent, you're such a headache for her.

C: last I checked, I might not be the perfect son but my parents love me very much. So keep your assumptions to yourself.

K: geez, that's rude.

***

C: there's word that a Homecoming dance is coming up next month.

K: frankly I don't care.

C: ...

K: but that doesn't mean you shouldn't care too.

C: yeah because I had a few plans...

K: ooooooooh

K: did you pick your guts up to ask Ava out?

C: ...

K: hey, what happened?

K: did Kon-El chicken out already?

C: ...

***

C: I mean there's still a month left so you asking me about it is kinda early.

K: you telling me about it was not kinda early at all then?

C: fair enough.

***

K: we're all meeting at Mount Justice tonight.

C: why?

K: ...

K: did you forget?

C: oh...

C: us and the Young Justice...
