She sat there unfazed by the movie playing, and Robert could see her distaste in the movie. He didn't understand why she always let Amelia pick the movies or the activities she participated in. Maybe it was her heart of gold, or her easy going nature? Whatever it was Robert had to admit sometimes it could get annoying.
His sister was too loving, too naive and it led to people using her, and Robert hated that.
After all they were all they had in this world.
The movie had ended and Bekah excused herself to use the bathroom. She finished up her business and stood in front of the mirror seeing her flat ironed hair starting to curl just a bit at the bottom, her fair skin stood out against her black hoodie.
Bekah Huntsman was a different type of girl, a girl who didn't care to try and keep up with the latest trends like Amelia did. She wore whatever she could get that didn't cost her much. She did own two pairs of name brand shoes- an old pair of Vans that Amelia had bought her for a birthday gift a year or two ago and a pair of Nike Air Forces that Robert bought her three months ago.
It was his birthday gift to her, a gift he had to save for secretly by giving Amelia 10 dollars a month to put back for them- yes Robert had saved for quite a while for this gift.
Bekah sighed and washed her hands before drying them and heading out of the bathroom "Oh!" She let out quietly as she got knocked back by a taller force "I am so sorry, I-I wasn't watching wh-uh-where I was going." Bekah bit down on her bottom lip lightly as she finally looked up into the deep brown eyes of the one she had bumped into.
"You have a stutter?" His voice questioned without even meaning too "Shit! Sorry, it's all good. Later." It was him- Devon and Bekah got a small smile as she watched him quickly scurry away feeling forever stupid for not thinking before he spoke to her.
"Who was that jerk I saw run into you and then just leave?" Amelia questioned bluntly as she watched Bekah meet them at their sides.
"I have no idea." Robert lied, he didn't want any gossip which he knew is what it would have caused if they spoke of running into him earlier.
"He was kinda cute though you should've gotten his-"
"No thanks Melly, don't you remember the last time I listened to you and got a guy's number." Robert cringed at his sister's comment as he remembered her last ex.
It was over 2 years ago now since Bekah had seen, talked to, or even mentioned that ex. And, Robert was thankful as he was very protective of his sister.
They didn't much more on the topic as they walked back towards Robert and Bekah's apartment in silence. Amelia felt awkward, she felt bed for always trying to get Bekah a boyfriend but Amelia thought that Bekah needed a second love in her life- Bekah was strictly stuck to Amelia and Robert as her means of communication and Robert well he didn't care much for friends or girlfriends.
"Tonight was fun. I'll see you guys tomorrow at school." Amelia backed away from their front door and waved as she started to leave.
"Later Melly."
"Bye Amelia." The twins waved before Bekah shut and locked the door.
"Next time I am picking the movie." Robert looked at his twin who smiled "You liked the movie just a bit." Bekah teased "Not hardly, I'm gonna take a shower and go to bed okay?" Bekah nods as she walks herself to her room and flops down on her bed.
She was anxious for tomorrow. She knew Robert would have to give Devon a tour and she knew that she would have to help as she wanted to make sure Devon was cool with Robert.
