The books were aligned perfectly as she set more books on the shelf "Becks, you wanna take your lunch now?" She glanced at her phone and shook her head "I have plans for 1:30." Robert nods slowly "With?" Robert asks making Bekah narrow her eyes "Is that your concern?" She playfully pokes back.

"Ouch! Oww! My own sister burned me!" Robert plays as if he had gotten seriously hurt making Bekah laugh as the doorbell chimed alerting another customer had walked into the shop.

"Welcome to our glory shelves of books! How can I help you?" Robert smiled as the lady looked at him as if he was on crack.

"Good luck." Bekah went back to straightening up the cart of books she had, trying to just put them back in their place.

The shop was quiet today, it seemed dead as the twins worked in quiet trying to finish their shift out. The bell on the door chimed once more signalling another customer walking in.

"Your her plans?" Robert sounded surprised making Bekah turn around and saw James standing there "Ouch, damn. She asked to hang out so I figured I would take her to lunch." James explained "Bring me back some food then." Robert pointed at his best friend who grinned "You got it boss." James looked at Bekah who slowly made her way to his side before they left the book shop.

He laid there on his beat up mattress staring at the ceiling as he tossed a ball around in his hand before starting to toss it in the air "How was that party?" His door that was missing it's door knob and the top hinge opened causing Devon to stare at his petite mother.

"You drove me to a party. Dropped me off and didn't come to pick me up until 6 in the morning." Devon pointed out making his mother nod.

"You've never made friends easily, Dev. And from the looks of it you still haven't. I am worried." She walked in wrapping the cardigan she was wearing around her.

"Mom, maybe I don't want friends. I didn't even wanna go to that stupid party." Devon admitted "It was just a waste of time anyways." Devon added as he thought back on the events that transpired at that party.

"How many fights have you been in since we been here?" Devon looked at his mom and sighed "I don't start them." Devon tried but failed "So what? Doesn't mean you have to finish them."

"You never did! When dad started them you didn't finish them, I always had to! It's no different now!" Devon barked back getting sick of this conversation.

His mother looked broken within her baby blues eyes as she bit down on her bottom lip and sighed.

"My parties can get pretty intense for light weights!" James joked as they started their walk back to the book shop "Light weight? Who me?" Bekah asked making James nod eagerly "If I remember correctly your last party I beat you!" Bekah laughed "I also remember you passing out with your pants around your ankles." Bekah added making James chuckle nervously.

"We were in the bathroom a whole crowd of us, and me and you were trying to beat one another at beer bong, you lost at the fourth one." Bekah recalled hazily as her memory was slightly cloudy "Okay, okay I admit you can handle your liquor." James had a slight blush across his face as Bekah did recall correctly and defeated James.

"Where's my food?" Robert questions making James grin "Loaded fries, double burger with bell peppers like you like it." James held the bag out and Robert nods "Thank you Becks." James scoffs making Bekah smile.

"My brother already knows I'm the only one who knows his order like that." James nods slowly "So I rehearsed it a million times before we got here." James admitted making the twins laugh.

"Alright well now I'm going on break, I got a majority of the books done we only have one more cart." Robert informed his twin making Bekah nod.

"Did you hear about that new kid? Yesterday he got in a fight with the sheriff's son." Bekah looked at James' and raised an eyebrow "Are you serious?" She asks making him nod "Nothing is gonna happen cause the kid ain't talking, but the rumors are flying around. Everyone is already vowing to stay away from him." James gossips.

"Well thank you gossip girl. I really needed to know that." James laughed and he shrugs "I know you and Robert talk to him sometimes, now I think you guys should watch out." Bekah shrugs.

"Don't worry, we aren't really talking to him. Doubt we will again." Bekah assured the jock.
