The murder of Harrison haunted the halls, it had only been a week now since it had happened. It was something that had become whispered about when students would see Devon or even Sara, but after the scene she caused and the scene caused on the football field things seemed to slowly die down in the next 48 hours.Amelia stormed the halls with her eye on the prize- Robert. She waltzed up to him and gave him her best smile "Uh... Can I help you?" Robert never knew the drama that had brought his sister and Amelia together, he was clueless in this sense- all he knew is they were the best of friends and that didn't seem to be the case anymore.
"Here." Amelia shoved a small patch work backpack into his arms smiling.
"All of Bekah's belongings, stuff she left at my house or things she gifted me." Amelia added "Bye now." And with that she walked off "What'd she want?" James made his way over to Robert only after Amelia walked off.
It was no lie that James had harbored feelings for Bekah over the years, and seemed like once Amelia caught whiff of that she had her eyes on James. It was a little weird for James since he did have a crush on Bekah and not Amelia. James only then started to think poorly of Amelia.
"She just gave me all this stuff that apparently is Bekah's." Robert put the small bag in his locker and closed the door "What is going on with those two? Thought they were best friends?" Robert sighed heavily and shrugged.
"I don't know, one minute they are best friends and the next minute they aren't and suddenly Bianca is chilling with us." Robert turned to walk to class as James tagged by his side.
"Wait Bianca?" James questioned making Robert nod.
"Don't ask me. Girls are confusing." Robert chuckles making James smile "They say the same about us." James pointed out making Robert grin.
"Can I come over tonight? I have news." Bianca scared Bekah as she popped up behind her making Bianca giggle as Bekah merely smiled "Yeah sure around 8 cause Robert and I have work, but what about may I ask?" Bekah questioned.
"Becks, you gotta quit reading those old fashioned books you're starting to talk like them." Bianca playfully teased causing another smile to rise out of Bekah "But about the murder." Bianca whispered so low Bekah nearly didn't hear her.
"Okay then, I will see you tonight." Bekah agreed making Bianca nod "So have you talked to Devon anymore?" Bianca made herself comfortable in the seat next to Bekah as her response was only the shake of her head signalling 'no'.
But there was something about Devon. It was a sense of mystery with him- he was mysterious in every way possible. His actions were mysterious- he seemed to want to be a loner with no friends but yet he joined the football team. Devon seemed to dislike or have no trust in the twins and their friends but he stuck around them sometimes. Devon also spoke very little at times as if he was trying to avoid conversations.
He was a mystery to her, and it was the type of mystery that pushes you away but at the same time draws you in all at once.
"Have you talked to him?" Bianca lightly giggled at Bekah's question before she realized it seemed weird.
"Bekah, he only really talks to you and Robert. Sometimes James too." Bianca pointed out making Bekah give her a questioning look "That's not-"
"Oh, it is so true. Devon doesn't speak to anyone at this school unless they approach him, or unless it's Robert or you. Everyone has noticed that." Bianca clarified cutting Bekah off "Maybe." Bekah slunk down in her chair as she played around with her pencil.
"You know I'm right."
