It was eerie at Willow Creek. The enterance to the path was taped up with yellow crime scene tape, it warned all of those to stay off the beaten pathway. Surrounded by trees for miles, covered in wet leaves- and those leaves led to the waterfall. The waterfall was the key aspect of Willow Creek, it wasn't a large waterfall but it was enough to bring in visitors weekly. But now the waterfall was off limits to anyone but the police and crime scene units- for it was now the scene of a homicide. It rocked the town, someone had been killed in cold blood and there was no suspect in mind- because the only suspect did have an alibi.
"She what?!" Bianca's voice screeched as she plopped down on her bed, the loudness of her voice made Bekah jump as she seated herself in the desk chair "Sara wants to pin the whole murder on Devon?" Bianca played the words over on her tongue as she played with her finger nails.
"She must be investing it too, or working with your dad?" Bekah crossed her arms as she lightly turned the chair back and forth "Well then we have to beat her to it, right?" Bekah looked over at Bianca and shrugged.
"What are we doing here, Bia?" Bianca got a small smile as the old nickname came from her old friends mouth "Hanging out, like friends do." Bianca answered.
Because truthfully Bianca missed her friendship with Bekah, they were best friends at one point. And now they walked past one another in the halls without saying a word. It was like they didn't know one another "Or are we even friends anymore?" Bianca questioned without even thinking.
"Of course we are." Bekah shook her head slightly, she felt as if she had just lied to Bianca "What happened to our friendship exactly? Why did it suddenly stop?" Bianca felt stupid for asking this question. But, she needed to know.
The truth was Bianca had lost all friends after her friendship with Bekah had ended, Bekah was her best friend and after that loss she didn't bother to try and replace the near life long friendship she had built with Bekah. It wasn't like Bianca take her loyalty away and replace someone easily- she just couldn't do it.
"I don't know Bianca, I really don't. But I wish I did. Something just drove us down different paths." Bekah answered as she chewed on the inside of her cheek "It was Amelia wasn't it? Because I wouldn't be friends with her and after she did what she did." Bianca looked desperate for this answer and Bekah only sighed.
"That isn't why we are here, Bianca." Bekah didn't want to answer honestly because the truth would only cut deeply like a knife would "Tell me, Becks. It is isn't it?" Bianca sat forward looking at Bekah "Yeah, she had her ways Bianca. I couldn't risk her exposing everything then, not when it could have destroyed you." Bekah felt stupid and Bianca only gave a small smile.
"Well that was then, this is now. Screw Amelia, she can hold whatever she wants over me. It won't work, you were my best friend and I miss you." Bianca stood up and walked over to Bekah who gave her a small smile.
"Amelia isn't too happy already that we are talking again." Bekah admitted making Bianca giggle "She can get over it. Because I would like to start our friendship again." Bianca held her arms out asking for a hug and Bekah nodded slowly before standing up to hug her lifelong friend.
This could be the start of something good, something that was good but can be built better. Even though a murder had brought them back together, Bekah did have hope for this and do did Bianca. Because the truth was even Bekah missed her friendship with Bianca; even after all of the drama, lies that Amelia was able to cause then. And all over Robert- Bekah's softest part.
