The group of 4 sat around the bed not saying a word. Bianca looked between her friends and swallowed hard "Who is the other suspect?"

The entire group hushed Devon wildly causing his eyes to go wide "We can talk about this tomorrow." Bianca brushed off all questions "We should probably head home." Robert and Bekah shared the same look in their eyes- mistrust?

The look was clear to Devon. He had seen it numerous times within his mother's eyes when she knew he was lying or doing something wrong. Did they not trust Bianca or Devon? It was unclear. Devon left with the twins but went his separate way to his home.

"Where have you been?" Was the first thing Devon had heard once he opened the thick wooden door. His mother sat at the wobbly kitchen table with a half smoked cigarette hanging from her thin nimble fingers.

"I was hanging out with friends." Devon felt weird saying that. Were those his friends? Were they genuinely his friends? They were attempting to clear his name from a murder- so maybe.

"A murder? From fighting to murdering?" His mother questioned.

"I didn't do it." Devon felt like the world had stopped. The oxygen going to his lungs felt like fire. His motions were stilled as he felt like his feet were concrete blocks that couldn't move in the poorly lit room.

He didn't budge to move as his mother made her way to him "I know you didn't. But they don't." She let a tear run down her cheek as she stared at her son "I'm sorry mom." He apologized quickly.

It was a trauma response from his childhood- his mother had the same response.

"I know my pretty boy." She latched onto her son and held onto him for what felt like would be the last time she could.

Devon walked out the house the next morning; without speaking to his mother or attempting to ease her mind any further. He continued to walk far away from the house as his mind raced. He wanted to know what Bianca would end up telling them today. On who that other suspect was.

"Where is he? I sent a group text out last night. I explained to meet here at 2." Bianca complained.

"I'm sure he is close." The trio sat at a picnic table at a nearby walking trail "O. M. G." Bianca stared at the mess walking towards them.

Bekah looked back and her eyes widened as she noticed Devon covered in torn clothing and a busted lip "Devon! What happened dude?!" Robert was the first to move towards him "A couple guys got a hold of me. Apparently they don't like killers of their cousin." Devon sighed.

"I'll have a couple bruises too. Maybe it'll look cool." The trio could tell Devon was defeated "Who the hell is the other suspect?" Robert questioned looking back at Bianca who smiled lightly.

"Sara." She almost whispered it as she gnawed on her nails looking between the three teenagers staring at her "I'm sorry what?" Devon chuckled out.

"His sister? Who was smaller than me?" Devon raised his eyebrows as he stared at Bianca in disbelief.

"Yes. Apparently they have their eye on her too." Bianca shrugged her shoulders as the trio looked at her as if she was a mad woman "We can quit staring at me now." Bianca sighed.

"That makes no sense why would she kill him? She seemed so protective of him." Bekah questioned aloud so the group could hear her "I don't know. It makes no sense. There was no notes added?" Robert stared at Bianca in question.

"You were with her and you didn't notice that?" Bekah asked "Actually we took separate areas and didn't talk much." Robert informed his twin "Hmm.. Well anywho- anymore information?" Devon brought the topic back to focus.

"No. There was no more notes or any other information on the topic." Bianca sighed as she felt defeated "Great. So they are pointing fingers at his sister but they don't even know why they are doing that. This is fucking pointless!" Devon threw his hands up as he turned around and started to storm off from the trio that would be giving him nothing.
