Bekah walked alongside the taller boy with the deep brown eyes as she felt awkward, not a word being spoken between the two and it felt as if all eyes where on those two infinitely different students. Bekah played with the tip of her nails as she walked with her head held at an average height as to not draw attention to herself.

"Here's your locker, sometimes it can get stuck when being opened." Bekah moved her hand to show him his locker and Devon nodded his head.

"Look that day we met-"

"Watch it, punk!" Bekah watched as Devon stared straight into the eyes of the high school bully Harrison Friedan "Get glasses so you can see where you're walking." Devon clapped back and Harrison turned around to face him.

"What did you just say, faggot?" Harrison walked up getting right into Devon's face.

Devon froze for a second, he always fought for himself because he never had anyone else to do it for him and he was standing here thinking over what he was doing before this prick walked into him "Nothing, sorry." Devon backed down but that wasn't good enough as Harrison shoved him back into locker and Devon ended up knocking Bekah down to the ground.

"What the fuck man!" Devon pushed himself off the locker as he realized he knocked Bekah over "Watch your step." Harrison laughed as now the whole school was watching.

Devon turned around and helped Bekah up before he clenched his jaw "I'm sorry for knocking you over." Devon then turned around and shoved Harrison into the floor "Watch your own footing clown." Devon turned to Bekah and grabbed her wrist gently.

"It's time to find Robert." Bekah got a small smile as they jogged off towards the football field hearing Harrison in the distance.

"You goddamn faggot!! I swear I'm going to get my hands on you and rip your throat out!" Harrison was chasing them but that didn't matter as their feet had hit the soft grass of the football field and stopped.

"Becks?! What are you doing here?" Robert had noticed his sister's arrival and she walked over with Devon trailing behind her as Harrison slammed onto the football field glaring at Devon.

"Harrison giving you a problem?" James held his head up as he eyed Harrison and narrowed his eyes "Not really." Bekah lied.

Bekah and James had gone on a couple dates before, they never called things off but they both got wrapped up in separate things.

"Heard you're trying out for the cheerleading team later, will you bust a move for me?" James looked down at the shorter girl and she gave him a light smile "You know what maybe I will, what was that iconic dance move you did in the seventh grade? The twist, dip and fall?" The team and Bekah all burst with a smile as Devon stood there as the odd man out.

"Is this Devon?" Robert asks and Bekah nodded "Are you ready to show me around?" Devon finally spoke up "Oh, well Becks come on. I'm walking one of you Huntsman twins to classes." James held his arm out to Bekah and she nodded "Bye Robby!" Bekah waved to her brother before she walked off with the football player.

"Did you do anything to my sister?" Robert didn't look at Devon as he started walking and Devon took after him.

"No, dude what the hell? I know you guys saw me fighting but you don't know the whole story." Devon protested.

"And what's the whole story? Cause from what I saw ya were beating the hell out of a guy who didn't stand a chance." Robert finally looked at him and Devon sighed.

"I'm sorry about that, and it's not who I am- You know what I don't owe you shit. Not an explanation- Not shit!" Devon looked at Robert and he shrugged "I don't wanna hear a shit explanation anyway." Robert walked the new student back inside and Devon felt beyond stupid.

Devon knows damn well be is going to be here for a while, and apart of him wants to open up to these twins. He can't understand it, he can't explain but from his one meeting with Bekah and the way the twins jumped in to stop the fight- he wants to know these two. But he refused to let himself get attached to someone.
