School had finally ended at 3:30PM, the halls were slowly emptying out as students gathered their things and ran out of there to get home and get ready for the football game tonight.

Bekah stood by Amelia as she emptied out her locker to gather her things to leave "What's Devon's issue? He keeps mean mugging you and Robert- all of us." Amelia finally spoke up.

Bekah looked at her best friend and shrugged it off "Um.. I don't know? Maybe ask him if you're curious."

"Hey girls!" Bianca's voice rang out loudly as she bounced up to the two best friends.

"Now we all know you girls won't be in tonight's game because you're new. But I expect you to be on the sidelines helping the football players when they need water or something." Amelia and Bekah looked at her curiously.

"That doesn't happen during games normally." Bekah pointed out.

"I know, Becks. But, it's happening this year! It'll be great to get some help over there and get you guys used to the sidelines! Bye my loves!" Bianca bounced off leaving the girls to stand there shocked.

"I'm not going tonight, got family plans finally. But I should go, bye Becky!" Bekah cringed at the nickname.

Amelia always called her 'Becky' when she was loathing Bianca who had originally started the 'Becks' nickname "Yeah, bye." It was too late when Bekah responded as Amelia was already out of the high school.

"Bekah! Hey!" Bekah turned around with a smile on her face as she looked at James "Heard you're gonna be at the game tonight. Score!" James grinned widely and Bekah looked down before back up at him.

"Yeah, yeah I am. I'm gonna be helping the football players with water and something apparently." Bekah held onto the straps of her backpack and James nods "Awesome! Glad to have my lucky charm by my side tonight. We're going against Fern Valley and they are intense." James scratched the back of his neck nervously and Bekah could see the skittishness in his eyes.

Last year they went against Fern Valley and three teammates got injured due to Fern Valley's teammates playing rough and hard. Robert was one of those that got injured, but he returned the next week to continue playing- even though he wasn't supposed to.

"Hey you'll get it done right tonight. If they wanna play hard then you guys play harder. Get some revenge if you must." James cracked a nervous chuckle.

"I wish it was that easy. I never want my boys to play too rough and hurt themselves. But maybe for one night.." He trailed off as he let a sigh out.

"You guys will do great tonight, especially you and Robert." Bekah gave him a light hug and he embraced her softly as Devon stood at the end of the hall watching them.

"It's complicated."

Those words rung through his head as he shut his locker door and left the high school that he really didn't care for.

"Do you need a ride home, twins?" James walked out with the twins and Devon scowled hard as he heard the voices.

Can he get away from them? Or was the world purposely throwing him into his demise- again?

"Nah, we need the walk. Besides I gotta swing by work and grab my chemistry book. Thanks though." Robert answered for his sister and James nodded.

"I will see you tonight Robert and Bekah!" The twins set off for their walk home which was calming.

Robert had swung by work for his school book as Bekah trudged on home, the second she slipped inside she tore her shoes off and collapsed on the couch letting a heavy sigh escape her lips.

A few minutes later Robert entered the apartment and locked the door "Today was quite the day, huh?" Robert spoke up as he saw his sister on the couch.

"First day back always is." She answered.
