"Bekah!" Robert jogged up to the side of his twin who gave him a small smile "Here. Amelia gave me this said it's your stuff and whatever." Bekah took the patchwork backpack and stared at it for a long time.

This was the bag she had given Amelia for one of her birthdays- along with a ton of makeup like Amelia loved. Bekah let out a quiet sigh before giving Robert another small smile "Thanks." Robert could see a distinct look in his sisters eyes but he couldn't make out what it was.

Sorrow?

Regret?

Anger? Robert couldn't tell what it was and that drove him slightly crazy. He has always been able to read his sister but lately that was seeming to become a problem "Well I'll see you at work later." And with that Robert left her side.

Bekah forced the bag into a near by trash can. She refused to take all of those things back, it brought back the memories of her friendship with Amelia and it hurt to remember all of it. It hurt to remember their friendship was nothing anymore. But, little did Bekah know that Amelia stood at the end of the hallway behind her and watched her throw it away.

As if it meant nothing.

The rest of the day fluttered by like a butterfly during the summer looking for a flower. It was a smooth transition during periods, it was a smooth ride through classes too something all the kids in this high school kind of missed since the drama with Devon started- and Harrison's murder looming over them all of course.

"Hey Robert? Do you wanna run the cash register today? I'll put away the books?" Bekah offered as she tied her apron around her waist neatly "Yeah, that'll work." Robert agreed because secretly he hated putting the books away most of the time. It was a time consuming process and always had him running back and forth in the store.

"Bianca is coming over tonight." Robert looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

"Can I tell you something?" Bekah walked over to her brother who straightened his posture and nodded "Of course."

"She wants to investigate Harrison's murder, since I am an alibi for Devon." Robert's eyes widened "Hold on Nancy Drew. She wants to what?" Bekah gnawed on her bottom lip as her mind started to wonder if she should regret telling her brother.

"Investigate Harrison's murder. She wants to help clear Devon's name." Robert crossed his arms as his eyes slightly narrowed "And you're in on this?" He questioned making Bekah nod slowly making Robert sigh.

"Then so am I." Bekah looked into her brothers eyes with a glimmer of hope and trust "Really?" She questioned sounding a little excited.

"Yeah, through thick and thin and all the hell imaginable- right?" Robert quoted their childhood promise to one another making Bekah smile "We aren't gonna tamper with evidence or anything right?" Bekah looked at her brother a little worried.

"No, absolutely not! Bianca just gets some information that she can from her dad and then shares it with me- or that was the plan I think." Robert raised an eyebrow with a slight smirk "We need to watch crime shows suddenly." He walked past his sister to take his post at the register leaving Bekah with a small smile.

The bookstore was quiet, a couple regulars came in and out but that was all. The twins stuck to cleaning up the store in their spare time. Robert decided to help Bekah sort books out since it had become a ghost town within the little store, the twins worked quietly to put the books away as their eyes wandered over to the clock here and there to see if it was time to go yet.

And then the clock striked 8PM.
