"Just let me say one thing," Blaise spoke, "why?"
"What do you mean?" Ron questioned. He took a few steps forward, invested in what the other was about to say.
Blaise asked, "Why would you kiss me back, if you didn't feel the same?" Ron wasn't thinking; on an impulse- he closed the gap between them, pressing their lips together, taking in every detail. Hands ran through Ron's hair and his own were wrapped around Blaise's neck. They stayed entwined for longer this time but he finally pulled away and replied, " I do like you....but we can't- I can't, be with you."

He saw Blaise's face drop and felt Zabini push him away. "What the hell Weasley!" He erupted, You can't mess with my head like that! It makes me feel like sh*t! Do you understand that? I came in here because I thought it's what I needed to move on. I thought you didn't like me and that I'd just have to get over you like I've gotten over everyone else. But when you kissed me, I thought I had a chance. I thought I was worth something to you, then you went and f*cked it up all over again!"
"I didn't mean to-" Ron began, "it's just, it would never work, people would-"
Blaise interfered, "People would what? Make fun of you? Is that too scary for you? Oh poor Ron! I don't get to hide like you do! I had to deal with that cr*p from the beginning! Does your reputation really mean more to you than I do?
"It's not just that, you- you're with the deatheaters and-"
Blaise outstretched his arm and pulled up his sleeve. "There! No dark mark! Is that what you wanted to hear? Will that fix whatever  the f*ck's  going on in your brain right now?" Blaise annouced.
"Blaise calm down." Ron responded.
Blaise concluded, "No, you know what, I've had enough of this. I don't care anymore. This is all too much. You deal with whatever you're going through but don't expect me to be there for you." And with that he stormed pass Ron and out the door.

Rooted to the spot- there was Ron standing still in the middle of the bathroom. Although it hurt to admit- Blaise was right; he needed to sort himself out before he could decide what he wanted. He needed to talk to someone about all this, but who? Ron didn't really know anyone that could help with....this type of thing, but he did know who always seemed to know the answer to everything. Hermione. If there was anyone who wouldn't judge him for this, it'd be her.

He'd talk to her after transfiguration. Transfiguration! It'd definitely been over ten minutes since he'd arrived and Ron knew Mcgonagall wouldn't be happy if  he was late. He ran out of the bathroom and slowed down a bit as he entered the corridor. He finally reached the transfiguration classroom and he gulped as he remembered the time Mcgonagall had threatened to turn him into a pocket watch if  he was late again. Hopefully she wasn't being serious.

Opening the door, he was met by at least twenty eyes staring right at him. "So, you have decided to show up for class after all, mister Weasley." Mcgonagall announced.
He replied, "Sorry Miss, I was in the bathroom."
"For twenty minutes? She enquired, "Why what were you doing all that time." A few students let out a giggle at this. "Go sit down, Miss Granger will catch you up with the rest of the class." Mcgonagall ordered.

Ron silently made his way across the room and sat down in his usual seat next to Hermione. She was about to explain the lesson to him as instructed but he spoke first: "Hey 'mione- can I speak to you about something after class?."
"Sure Ron, what about?" She asked.
Ron responded, "I just need some advice, can we meet in front of the Whomping Willow- but not too close." (Ron didn't want to get hit like in the second year).
"Ok, I'm quite curious now actually." Hermione added, "but let's get on with the lesson first." Ron listened to her explanation but he could only think about how their  future conversation would go.
