Chapter 11

The lesson had just ended and Ron was packing his stuff into his bag. He got up out of his chair and walked out of class with Hermione. "So is it that important that we have to wait until we get to the Whomping Willow- or?" Hermione prompted.
"Yeah," Ron answered, "it is."
Hermione decided,"Let's get there quickly then because I'm becoming more and more curious. It's not like you to act so serious."

With that, they walked out of the building and made their way to the tree. Ron sat down in front of it -out of branch range- and motioned for Hermione to join him.

"Are you going to tell me what's going on now?" Hermione asked.
Ron stammered, "Yeah, so- what happened-"
"You can tell me Ron," Hermione assured, "I'll help you."
"I guess I've got to start from the beginning," Ron admitted, "so it all started when Binns set the quidditch project."
Hermione questioned, "Is this about the whole deatheater thing?"
"No, I mean- a tiny bit, but it's not what I wanted to talk about-" Ron implied.
"Oh sorry," Hermione apologies, "carry on then."
"Ok, he paired me with Blaise, right. And so i had to go to the room of requirement every week and do the work." Ron recounted, "Well then.... the second time- somehow, I ended up...."
"Yeah I know all that, i got paired with Pan- Parkinson remember?" Hermione reminded, "you ended up doing what?"
Ron responded: "I- we ended up, sort of....kissing." His heart was attacking his chest as the anxiety surged inside of him. "I have to admit I didn't expect that. So do you need advice on what to do next?" Hermione queried.
Ron questioned, "Wait so- that's you're not going to react more?"
"It's not really as big a deal as you made it sound." Hermione spoke.
"Well actually- that's not all,"  he continued, "after that happened, I kind of, panicked.... I might've ran out of the room-"
Hermione added, "That was not a good idea."
"There's more. After that I decided to avoid him, I thought I could just forget about it." Ron explained.
"That was stupid." Hermione acclaimed.
"I know- but it went on for three days until today."
"Oh no, what happened today?" Hermione asked.
"It was the reason I was late for transfiguration. I went in the bathroom a little before the lesson was going to start." He claimed, "And when I left the stall- he was there. He asked me why I kissed him if I didn't like him back."
"Why did you?" Hermione interjected.
Ron retaliated: "Bloody hell, let me finish, will you. I wasn't thinking when it happened- but I couldn't help it; I kissed him. I told him I did like him but we couldn't date."
"And you told him that after you kissed him?" Hermione proclaimed, what did he do?"
"I know, I know. I was really stupid. So he got angry- and everything I said just made it worse. He stormed out and I had to go to transfiguration." He'd finished telling Hermione what had happened and waited silently for her response.

"You've really messed this up, haven't you." Hermione stated with a rather exhausted sigh.
"Well first we need to figure you out." She added.
Ron asked: "What does that mean?"
"You're sure you like Blaise?" Hermione checked.
"....yeah." Ron replied.
"Ok, have you liked anyone before him?"
He confirmed,"Yeah, all girls, he's the fist one who's- not."
"Well then you're probably bi." Hermione concluded.
"What's that?" He enquired.
"It means you like two or more genders. Hermione informed, "For you it's guys and girls, you've liked more girls than guys, which means you probably have a preference for girls."
"I think that sounds like me." Ron decided, "wait- how do you know all of this?"
"Ummm, books?" Hermione hesitated.
Ron stated, "Even I'm not dense enough to believe that 'Mione."
"Ok, ok. You got me." Hermione admitted, "I may be- dating Pansy."
"How come you didn't tell anyone." Ron queried.
Hermione replied, "It wasn't worth the drama. You guys always blow things out of proportion."
"So what does that make you?" Ron asked.
"I'm pan- as in pansexual. It means I like people regardless of gender." Hermione recited.
Ron exclaimed: "I didn't know there were so many different things people could be."
"There's a lot more." Hermione spoke, "but anyway, now we need to figure out what you're going to do about Blaise-"
