You need to get ready for practice

As much as he hated to admit it, George didn't like going to practice when Clay wasn't there. Don't get him wrong, he had no issues practicing with his other teammates. He just preferred Clay since he worked the best with him.

He knew that Sapnap was the second best person he worked with, but he thinks his little crush was part of the reason why he practiced best with Clay.

The reason why Clay wasn't coming to practice was because he was picking his and George's parents up from the airport. The agreement was George would drop them off, and Clay would pick them up.

The downside to that was their flight so happened to get in during their practice time.

George didn't bother taking a shower, as he'd get dirty later anyway. He quickly got in his baseball uniform, threw on a hat, slipped on his slides, then grabbed his baseball bag from the shed. He then put the bag in his trunk and proceeded to head to baseball practice.

He hated the fact that they only had one off day during the week. But he knew that if he wanted to stay on the traveling team, he needed to put as much effort forward as possible. This proven by how good he is at the sport.

On his drive, he couldn't get his mind off of his best friend. He's always known that he had a crush on him, but since the night they got drunk, he realized that this crush wasn't so little anymore.

He knew this sounded cheesy, but he wanted a future with Clay. And as of right now, that could be possible. He knows that these feelings aren't only one way. He knows that at least some of these feelings are reciprocated.

When he pulls up to the baseball diamond, he notices he's the last one there. He quickly checks the time to make sure he's not late, but luckily, he got there just in time.

He grabs his bag from the car and quickly runs to the dugout. As he's changing into his cleats, he's greeted by Sapnap.

"Yo! What's up, Gogy?" The teen asks.

"Nothing much. Clay isn't coming today so you're my partner." George replies.

"Sweet. I'll be waiting on the field for you."

Before George could answer, Sapnap runs out of the dugout.

"Alright! Now that everyone is here, let's get warmed up!" The coach yells as George approaches him.
