Just like Clay's mom said she would do, she called a clinic and got George set up with therapy. George started about a week after school and things were going great. After his first session with his therapist, George realized he didn't want Clay there with him. The blond took no offense to that, he just wants George to be comfortable.
George has been maintaining school and therapy, as well as taking care of himself and his relationship with Clay.
Clay was so happy for his boyfriend. It seemed like the brunet was getting better, and he was. After his incident, he promised himself that he would never drink alcohol again. So far, he's stuck to that promise.
School has been threatening to kick George's ass, but he's been able to stay on top of all the work with the help of Clay. It's really exhausting to go to eight hours of school just to come home to do more school work. George made sure to rant about that every time he went to therapy.
Clay was seriously the greatest thing George could ask for. He supplied cuddles when George wanted them as well as all the help and support he could give. George felt like he didn't deserve him. He's been thinking about that a lot, too.
How does Clay feel? It's all about George, so what about Clay? What if he's having issues, too? George could just ask, but he feels bad. He knows the blond will just brush it off for the sake of George.
George started to feel guilty. As he was wrapped up in Clay's arms, he could only feel guilty about how all his pain and feelings are being talked about. Clay has feelings too, so why is everything focused on George?
George's thoughts were interrupted when Clay's mom called them up for dinner.
"Boys! Dinner is ready!"
Clay starts shifting and removes his arms from George. The brunet just laid there.
"Hey, dinner's ready," Clay repeated his mom's words.
"I'm not hungry."
"You need to eat, George. You haven't eaten anything today."
Instead of arguing back, he got out of the bed and followed Clay upstairs. The smell of the food made him nauseous. Pushing that aside, George washed his hands and sat next to Clay. He only put a small amount of food on his plate, yet he still didn't finish it all.
George waited for Clay to finish, then they cleaned up their plates and went back downstairs.
"Hey, you didn't eat much. Are you feeling ok?"
"Yeah, my stomach just hurts a little bit."
"Ok. Do you wanna do anything?"
"No. I just wanna lay down."
"Ok. Do you wanna cuddle?" George nods.
They got onto the bed, and Clay thought he would spoon George since that's what the brunet preferred. Clay was a little shocked when George laid his head on his chest and cuddled up to him like that, instead. It made the blond extremely happy, though, as that's his favorite way to cuddle.
As Clay wrapped his arm around George, George found himself fighting back tears. He didn't want to worry Clay, his boyfriend already had to deal with everything else about him. So George nuzzled his head against Clay's chest, trying his best to hide his face.
George wanted so badly to fall asleep to take away the emotions he was feeling right now, but he couldn't. His body wouldn't let him fall asleep. So here lay George, on Clay's chest, trying his hardest to not cry and worry the other.
This went on for hours. Clay was watching TikToks on his phone while George just laid on his chest. No matter what George tried to do, he couldn't stop feeling guilty. He tried going on his own phone but kept zoning out. He tried listening to the videos Clay was watching, but he just couldn't.
