It was 7:00 when George woke up the next morning. He had a specific morning routine he would follow. He would wake up, shower, then either pick up Clay or get picked up by Clay, then they would go to the Café for breakfast.

Clay on the other hand, he didn't have a specific morning routine. He took showers at night, so he didn't have to take one in the morning. He would wake up at 7:30, then go to the Café with George.

When he woke up, he saw a text from George saying he wanted to get picked up today.

So, Clay got out of bed, brushed his teeth, got dressed in black jeans and a sweatshirt, and slipped on his black Nikes. He grabbed his backpack and keys, heading downstairs.

"Good morning, Mom. I'm going to pick up George. Good bye." Clay says to his mom.

"Alright, behave at school and have fun at practice. Bye now." She smiles.

George was waiting for Clay with his backpack and baseball bag. When Clay pulled up in his truck, George set his baseball bag in the bed, then put his school bag in the cab. Instead of getting in the truck, he shut the door and walked away. Clay was confused, but just sat there.

About a minute later, George came walking back with Clay's baseball bag, setting it in the bed, then climbed into the passenger side of Clay's truck.

"You left it here the other night." George reminds Clay.

"I forgot, thank you. Now let's go to the café, we don't want to be late." The tired blond says.

He backs the truck up, then leaves George's driveway. He drives them to the café they go to every morning. When the boys go into the café, they walk up to the counter.

"Morning, boys. Would you two like the usual?" The brunette behind the counter asks.

"For me, yes, I don't know about him." George answers.

"Me too, please."

"Alright, $10 is your total." Before George could hand her the $5 for his breakfast like he usually does, Clay hands her a $10.

Instead of complaining, George just thanks Clay.

Their order number gets called. The teens walk up to the counter to grab their breakfast, then walk out to Clay's truck. School started at 8:10, so they had about 15 minutes until they had to be in class.

Every morning, George orders a chocolate muffin and a medium iced coffee. Clay orders the same thing, but he orders a chocolate chip muffin instead.

They quickly eat their muffins, sipping on their coffee every so often. Clay starts the truck and pulls off of the side of the road where he parked, driving towards the school.

Like usual, he pulls into the parking lot with about 5 minutes until class. The boys grab their backpacks, heading inside.

Once they get inside, they walk over to the table their team sits at. They greet everyone and talk about random stuff.

After what seems like forever, the bell goes off, indicating that school starts. Their school goes by an A and B block schedule. This means they have four classes a day, but switch between classes every other day. Meaning one day they have four classes, then the next day they have four different classes. These classes alternate using A and B labels.

This week was an A week, meaning they had three A day classes and two B day classes. The week started off as an A day.

On these days, Clay and George only had one class together, and that was third period. So, the boys went off their separate ways. George to Math and Clay to English.
