24 hours into the 34 hour drive, 10 more to go. They had been on the road for more than a day, stopping to get food and rest. It was currently during the early morning hours, the sun wasn't even out yet. Clay's sister was sleeping peacefully in the passenger seat.

Clay was feeling energized. They had been driving for about 6 hours straight. It was hard for Clay with his ADHD, but he had a Monster to help calm him.

He saw his parents turn signal on to pull over into a rest area, so he followed. They got out and stretched.

"Do you need to take a break?" Clay's dad asked.

"No, I'm fine. A stretch break is great, though."

Clay hears a door shut, and they all avert their attention to Clay's truck. His sister had woken up and joined them.

"What are you staring at?" She asked.

They knew not to mess with her after she woke up, so they picked their conversation back up and talked. A few minutes later, they were back on the road.

One hour left, and they were officially in Nevada. Clay was feeling tired, but he had to power through.

His sister was sleeping again, so he had no one to talk to. Instead of going straight to the house with his parents, Clay was going to go to the store with his sister and pick up some necessary groceries before his mom went shopping the next day.

Clay was panicking a little bit because he was scared he'd get lost on the way back from the store. But his mom gave him the address so he could put it in his GPS. As of right now, he had the closest store in his GPS and he parted ways with his parents.

"Ok, so I have the eggs, milk, and bread. I know Mom's going shopping tomorrow, but we need breakfast tomorrow. So should we get waffles, butter, and syrup?"

"I don't care."

"Thanks for the help."

Clay pushes the cart over to the frozen breakfast area and grabs a big box of Eggo's. Since he was over on the freezer/cooler side of the store, he grabbed a box of butter. Then, he walked over to where the syrup is and grabbed a bottle.

"Ok, we're set. Let's go."

They go to the checkout and the cashier scans the groceries. Clay pays, puts the bags in the cart, grabs the receipt, then they leave.

"Holy shit." Clay mumbles as he pulls up to the new house.

It was bigger than their old house, and they definitely didn't need it to be. Clay had no clue where anything would be, so he just grabbed the groceries and went inside. His mom was waiting for him at the door and had him follow her to the kitchen

"I got some waffles for breakfast tomorrow, I hope you don't mind."

"Nope, that's ok."

"Uh, where's the fridge?" Clay spins around a few times looking.

"Right here."
