"We should be back earlier tonight. Dinner can be whatever."

"Alright. I'll see you later."

Clay's parents were off to work again. Well, that's what Clay thought. They don't have work. The only thing they need to do for that company is show up once a month to make sure everything is running smoothly. They were going to the casinos again.

When they told Clay they would be back earlier, they really meant they would be back an hour before last time. They left a few hours before they did yesterday, so they would have the same amount of time to gamble.

His mom made lunch before they left, so Clay was currently sat in the dining room eating mac and cheese. It was very quiet until a loud ringing startled Clay. He looked down at his phone and saw that George was FaceTiming him. Clay quickly picked it up and answered.

"Hi." George smiles.

"Hi."

"Whatcha doin'?"

"Eating mac and cheese. What are you doing?"

"FaceTiming the hottest boy to ever exist."

"George, really?"

"Mhm."

"How has your day been?"

"Fun. I went to the mall with Nick. We messed around a lot."

"Did he change a mannequin?"

"Oh my God. Yes, he did. We got kicked out of whatever store we were in because of that."

"That sounds like Nick, all right."

"I wish you were here. I miss you."

"I miss you more, trust me."

"How has your day been?"

"Boring, like usual. Stayed home all day, still home. My parents are at work again so I'm stuck on sibling duty."

Guilt pinged inside of George. He felt horrible that he had to keep such a secret from Clay. His mom told him to try and make sure Clay was alright, but how was he supposed to do that when he was basically across the country from the blond? George couldn't stop thinking about that.

"George?"

"Sorry, what?"

"I was talking about how I have to watch my siblings and you zoned out or something."

"Sorry. I was just thinking."

"About what?"

"How I won't be able to see you for a while."

"It's ok. I think about that a lot, too."

"I miss you."

"I miss you, too."

"I love you."

"I love you, Baby."

"I got to go help my mum. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright. Bye." Clay hung up.

Clay finished his lunch while on the phone, so he stood up and put his dishes in the dishwasher. He really didn't know what to do. If he was still in Florida, there's no doubt he'd be with George. Speaking of George, Clay still needed to ask his parents if George could spend the month of August with them.

Clay had no idea what to do. He couldn't just go out with his friends. He wasn't in the mood to play Minecraft. He couldn't play baseball. All he wanted to do was FaceTime George. Why did his parents have to move him? Clay went downstairs to his room and crawled into bed. He just laid there. All he did was stare at his ceiling. He didn't get up until hours later when his siblings asked about dinner.
