The whole team stood in the dugout getting ready to practice before the game. Once the team was ready, they went out in the field to start practicing.

Soon enough, the game starts. Their team starts on the outfield. Clay starts off pitching. Halfway though the game, Clay switched out with Nick.

George is up to bat. Since he's left handed, he steps up to the right side of the plate. He plants his feet, brings the bat back, and bends his knees. He looks at the pitcher, and sees them winding up.

The pitcher throws the ball, and George hits it perfectly. He pivots his foot and starts running to first base. He looks up at his coach who gives him the right away to go to second.

George makes it to second base, and starts for third. When he's a little less than half way to third, the shortstop trips him, making him fall back and smash his head onto the ground.

Clay immediately shoots up from his spot on the bench in the dugout, and runs up to the fence that blocks them from the field. When he sees that George isn't getting up, he runs onto the field towards him.

"What the Hell!" Clay screams once he gets close enough.

"George!" he kneels down next to George. "George! George are you ok? Can you hear me?"

Clay grabs George's hand, shaking it.

"George, squeeze my hand if you can hear me."

George groans, then squeezes Clay's hand. He slowly opens his eyes, staring at the sky.

"Why did you trip him?" Clay shouts at the shortstop.

Both teams gathered around, the coaches kneeling down next to Clay and George.

"Clay, do you think you can carry George to the dugout?" Clay's coach asks.

"Uh, yeah! Yeah, I can." Clay speaks up. "Hey, George. I'm gonna carry you to the dugout, ok?" The blond lowers his voice to talk to George.

He puts his right arm under George's knees and his left on the back of his neck. He scoops George up, and George lazily puts his arms around Clay's neck.

Clay stands up and walks towards the dugout. An ambulance was already at the game in case of an injury, so Clay sets George on the gurney that the EMTs got out.

While that whole situation went on, the four umpires talked about the consequences of this sabotage.

"All right everybody!" one umpire shouts to get everyone's attention. "We talked, and we agreed on the consequence of this injury. Because the game is almost over, and Florida's team is in the lead, they will be the winners of this game. The action of this player will cause an immediate forfeit."

"Does he need to go to the hospital?" Clay asks an EMT.

"Yes. We asked him questions and gave him a quick evaluation. At the hospital, he can get proper medication and rest before you guys go back to your hotel."

"Can I ride along if I ask my coach?"

"As long as your current guardian knows, you can come along."

Instead of answering, Clay runs up to his coach who's talking to the other coach.

"Sorry to interrupt, but can I ride along to the hospital with George?"

"Excuse me a minute." The coach pulls Clay to the side. "Yes, you can. Is he alright?"

"Yeah. You're probably going to have to call his parents."

"Ah yes, right. When I get the team back to the hotel, I'll take an Uber to the hospital."

Clay nods his head and starts to turn away, but the coach says something.

"Hey, Clay." Clay turns around. "You really like him, don't you?"

Clay blushes. "W-What?"

"George. I can tell."

The tall teenager clears his throat. "Yeah, I do."

"Go on now."

"Grab my bag for me!" Clay shouts over his shoulder as he runs off.

He climbs onto the ambulance sitting on the opposite side of the paramedic.

"Sit back and relax. We'll be at the hospital shortly."

Clay reaches over and grabs George's hand. He gives it a small squeeze, and George looks over at him. Clay gives the other a smile, and George returns it.

Soon enough, they pull up to the hospital. George gets brought in to a room and the doctors start doing the things they need to do to make George comfortable.

Clay waits out in the waiting room for a little bit. A nurse comes out to the waiting room and motions for Clay to come with her to George's room.

As soon as Clay walks in, George smiles. He isn't in much pain right now because of the pain meds the doctor gave him.

"How are you feeling?" Clay asks as he sits by his boyfriend.

"Fine for now. I'm on pain meds." George smiles again.

Clay smiles at George's smile. No matter the situation, George always knows how to see the light in it. The brunet tries to keep a smile on his face to lighten the mood.

Although George looks really busted in his sandy baseball uniform, Clay can't help but admire how cute he looks.

The doctor said that George would be able to go back to the hotel, he would just need the coach to sign him out.

Clay sat by George's side holding his hand for about an hour. Their coach eventually gets to the hospital. Before he enters the room, he knocks on the door.

George quickly lets go of Clay's hand and invites the visitor in.

"Hey, George. How ya doin'?" Coach asks.

"I'm doing good. I'm on pain meds right now. The doctor said I don't have a concussion but I did hit my head pretty hard." George smiles.

"Alright. Well, I'll talk to the doctor then call your mom. I'll have an Uber take us back to the hotel and you two can hangout in your room."

Shortly after, the doctor walks in. George and Clay are talking quietly as Coach talks with the doctor.

Soon enough, Coach calls George's parents, then he signs him out of the hospital. All three of them are waiting in the lobby for the Uber.

"When we get back to the hotel, make sure to rest up, George." George nods.

The driver pulls up and they get in, heading to the hotel. As soon as they get there, the teenagers go up to their room, and the coach goes to his.

"Clay..." George drags on.

"Yes?"

"Can you... cuddle me?" George looks down and blushes.

When Clay didn't answer, George felt awkward. That was until he felt Clay pull him into a tight hug. He smiles and hugs the other back.

The blond waddled the two over to one of the beds. He sat on the edge, pulling George onto his lap, the brunet sitting sideways. George wrapped his arms around Clay's neck, slowly attaching his lips, softly sucking.

"You need to rest, Georgie."

George let out a whine, but he knew his boyfriend was right. Clay leaned back, pulling George down with him. They quickly readjusted to get comfortable. George snuggled up to Clay, laying his head on the other's chest.

George wasn't very tired, but he felt relaxed when Clay played with his hair. Soon enough, George drifted off to sleep. Clay continued to play with his boyfriend's hair. He leaned his head down and placed a gentle kiss on George's head.

"You're my baby." Clay whispered with a tear sliding down his cheek.
