It was now Friday. The day Clay would start driving to Nevada. The day before he would actually arrive at his new home.
He had woken up early and has been busy with getting everything ready ever since. Clay had packed his gaming stuff and got it downstairs, as well as the rest of this things. He was leaving in about 3 hours, and he would only be able to see George for about 20 minutes before he left.
The remaining people who were buying some of the furniture came to pick it up earlier that morning. When Clay walked back to his room, it was completely empty. All of the memories he's had here, and he won't be able to relive them again. He looked over to where his bed used to be. The place he shared his first kiss with George.
Clay had decided to go to the store to buy many snacks and drinks for his family for their drive. He drove to the store and walked in.
The first thing he grabbed was four bags of chips. Since his sister was riding with him, he needed to buy double.
The next thing he grabbed was a big bag of Skittles, his favorite candy. Since he was in the candy isle, he picked out his siblings' favorite candy, too.
Clay figured his parents wouldn't be too keen on just junk food, so he put some Go Go Squeeze, granola bars, Nutri-Grain bars, and trail mix in the cart. It wasn't the healthiest, but it was better than complete junk food. To make them happy, Clay grabbed some apples, bananas, and oranges, too. He figured his parents would most likely eat the fruit, but he bought enough incase himself or his sister wanted some.
He then grabbed drinks. He grabbed a couple Monsters for himself, as well as juice and water. He made sure to get plenty of drinks, especially water.
Depending on their drive, they planned on stopping at some restaurants or fast food places to get some real food, so he wanted to be carful not to over buy.
Clay pushed the cart to the check out, and began putting the items onto the conveyer, and the cashier scanned everything.
"Is that everything?" The cashier asked.
"Actually, these too, please." Clay grabbed a few packs of different flavor gum and set them at the top of the conveyer belt.
"Alright. Your total is $147.45."
Clay pulled out his credit card and paid. The cashier handed him the receipt, and Clay walked out of the store.
The blond loaded everything into his truck, then took off for home. When he did get home, his mom sent him the amount of money he spent. Then, he separated all the food and drinks into bins meant for everything. Clay carried the bins out to the vehicles and loaded them in.

Two and a half hours later, George pulls up into Clay's driveway. The second truck that had the rest of the family's belongings, as well as Clay's mom's vehicle, left an hour ago.
George got out of his truck and walked up to Clay. He had his head down, avoiding eye contact. Clay stepped up and wrapped his arms around George, the brunet hugged back.
"Baby, look at me." Clay says with a soft voice.
As soon as George looked at Clay, tears started spilling out of his eyes. As much as he didn't want to cry, he couldn't help it.
"C'mere."
George falls into Clay's chest and starts sobbing. Clay started crying, too. He wrapped his arms around George and squeezed him tight. They eventually pull away, and Clay leads them inside.
"I would ask if you wanted to go up to my room, but there's not really much to do in there." Clay chuckles.
"No, let's go." George's pulls Clay upstairs.
"What are you doing?" Clay asks when George sits on the floor.
"Come here and sit with me."
"Why on the floor?"
"I don't know, maybe because there's no furniture in here? Just come here." George giggles.
Clay does as he was told, and sits next to George. They make eye contact for a few seconds, just smiling at each other.
"I'm gonna miss you." George whispers, breaking the silence.
"I'm gonna miss you too, Baby."
George leans over to Clay and rests his hand on the other's cheek. He leans over and connects their lips. Clay kisses back. It was a slow and delicate kiss. When they pull away, Clay speaks.
"I guess I know why you chose to sit in the middle of the floor instead of against a wall."
"Why?" George asks, cocking an eyebrow.
"This is where we had our first kiss, just on my bed. I was thinking about that earlier." They both smile.
"I'm sorry to ruin your moment, but we have to start leaving soon, Clay."
Clay looked back to George and saw he wasn't smiling anymore. Clay got up, waiting for George. The brunet didn't get up, so Clay reached his hand out. Clay thought George was going to grab his hand, but instead covered his face and started crying.
"Baby, don't cry. Come here."
George slowly got up and Clay immediately pulled him into a hug. They slowly made it downstairs. Once they got outside, they noticed that everyone was already in the vehicles, except for Clay's dad, who started locking the house up.
George started crying again, would the tears ever stop?
"Don't cry, Baby. You'll make me cry, then we won't be able to see the road when we drive."
"Alright, Clay. It's time to go." Clay's dad patted his shoulder.
George got on his tip toes and wrapped his arms around Clay's neck. He gave him one last kiss before pulling away.
"Clay?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
Clay's heart sped up, then broke. Why did he have to leave the one person he loved the most?
"I love you, George. I'll see you again."
"Goodbye."
George walked back to his truck and Clay walked to his. George threw his head in his hands sat there for a minute, waiting to follow behind Clay.
"Ready?" Clay asks his sister while slapping his hands down on his thighs.
"Mhm."
"If you're hungry, don't be scared to have a snack. Try to not make a mess, but don't worry about it if you do. I can clean my truck when we get to Nevada."
"Thank you."
"Yep. Nevada, here we come." Clay's sister giggles.
Clay starts his truck and pulls out of the driveway, following behind his parents. He looked in his rear view mirror and saw George following behind. Clay watched as George turned the opposite way, slowly getting further away from himself.
Now time for the long journey to Nevada.
