Chapter 8

                         Jacob's POV still
Once we were were at the hospital I heard them say we both had to brought to surgery right away. I woke up later that day with one of those oxygen things that go into your nose. The first person I saw was my cousin.

"Hey Cole."

"Oh thank god you are awake. You don't know how much I was worried."

"How is she?"

"Still in surgery but they said she's touch and go. It's really bad. She lost a lot of blood and has head trauma. They're worried if she does make it through surgery she won't even wake up. It's all mostly because of the injury to her shoulder."

"How's Cody?"

"Who? Is that that baby I saw Kyla carry in? Is he-"

"Yeah."

I knew he looked like you! Oh and happy birthday man."

"Thanks. This is one hell of a present."

"Sorry it took so long. Every time we found a location they moved you. We started to give up until Axel called."

"I figured that would happen."

"You had a lot of blood loss and your leg is really fucked up. You broke your tibia so you needed rods and screws. You're lucky it's not in one of those leg sling looking things. You're gonna have badass scars after this. They stitched that big ass cut you have."

"They stitched the cut? That explains why all I see is white out of that eye."

"It was bad. The cut was deep. You're lucky you can see out that eye still. They put something on it to get your stitches from getting infected or something. I forgot the rest of what they said. Oh and Dr.Hart said to stop coming to her broken."

"No promises."

I stared at the ceiling and cried.

"I can't lose her. I fucking can't man. I felt so useless since I couldn't help her then and I can't help her now. I told them to hit me instead of her."

"I know Jacob everything is going to be okay. Also your mom and sisters are here. They're downstairs waiting since you were asleep."

"Good." I said mid yawn.

"You look exhausted and should rest. We can all come back later."

"I know but I want them. Can you see if someone can bring Cody in?"

The door then opened and two of my sisters came rushing in.

"Careful! He's still recovering! Watch his eye and leg!" My mom reminded.

"Hey kiddos."

I held my arms out to signal that I wanted a hug. This caused Kara and Chris to jump onto me.

"Ow ow ow my body!"

"Sorry!" They both said.

"Carolyn come here."

"But I'm gonna hurt you."

"No you won't. I promise. These two jumped on me. I know you won't do that."

She walked over and I pulled her into a hug.

I started to mess with the bed because I wanted to sit up. Cole came back with a nurse and Cody.

"Why is there a toddler  in here? WAIT! Are you serious?!"

"Everyone meet Cody."

He sat up and grabbed my neck.
