Chapter 10

Gabrielle's POV
"Baby. Our mark is fading. Not just on you. It's fading on me too."

No! No!

Jacob laid my hand against his face. A tear fell onto my hand. Is it weird I can hear and feel everything going on? My mom came back into my room a few times and so did everyone else. It was mostly just me and Jacob. He would hum our song to me often. I heard him playing a game on his phone every now and then. I don't mind it. He was playing the game I'm obsessed. I swear if he beats the level I've been stuck on I swear-

"How is she now?"

"Still asleep.."

"Her vitals seem better. Hopefully she'll be up soon. Try to rest. I'll be back in an hour or so."

"Is she awake up?"

"No mom.. I need her. What do I do about our mark? It's still fading."

"I know. I know. You're gonna have to redo it. Have you eaten?"

"Nope. Not hungry."

Have you slept?"

"No I'm scared I'll have nightmares. How's Cody?"

"He's okay. He's hanging out with your father."

Someone was skipping into the room.

"Jacob! I got you food!"

"Hey Kar.. Thank you but I'm not hungry."

"Please just humor me and try to eat. You hardly sleep now. Just eat something."

"Okay okay you're pushy."

"Thank you."

"How's school going?"

"Could be better. My teacher is still giving an issue and it's gotten worse with you know who. Carolyn won't leave the house."

"Have you used my notes from when I had him? And let me guess no one is doing anything to help her."

"Yes. I think he hates me because I'm your sister.. But Athena did suspend the girls for a week."

"That's impossible. I was a good student. And that's a start."

"Not according to him."

"Is she still eating with the twins and Dom?"

"Yes. I'm glad since no one messes with them. It's like she's protected."

I feel like I'm eavesdropping on a private conversation but it's okay. It's the only thing I've got right now. I want to hug everyone. Mostly J.. I want my kid. The room went silent once again so I'm guessing everyone left.

"Just so we're clear I'm not mad you're.still asleep. I just miss you that's all. This sucks."

He started to cry once again causing my heart to break even more. He's right this does suck. I just want him is that too much to ask?

"Please wake up so I can marry you. I want to see you in a white gown."

"You'll wake up today. I know it."

"Wait really?"

"Yes if not today then whenever you're ready"

"I'm ready now"

"Then wake up!"

"It can't be that easy can it?"
