Gabrielle's POV
The next morning I woke up and started playing with Jacob'a hands. I started counting all his scars. I counted 20 on each hand. I've also noticed we wear our rings the same way. The ring I got us is on our right hand. The others are on our left hand.

"We've been together for how long? Like 13 years right? And I've never gotten a good look at your hands."

"Gabrielle I'm fine."

"I know you are. I'm just saying. Do they bother you at all?"

"I mean yeah. I hate looking at them."

"I still don't understand why you didn't tell me what they did until the trial."

"I could say the same to you."

"Valid point."

I put his arm around me and grabbed his neck.

"I still feel bad about you know."

"Stop that. I don't want to hear you blame yourself for something that was out of your control."

"I know but still."

"Jake. Please stop. It was over 10 years ago."

"I'm sorry."

"Please try to not say "I'm sorry." a lot. It never was your fault. Anywho new topic. I wanna go back to bed. But the kids should be waking up soon."

"I'll deal with them. Sleep some more."

"You're the best. Thank you."

I fell back asleep only to wake up. I ran into the bathroom. I haven't been this sick in 10 years.

"Mommy?"

"Hey little wolf. What's up?"

"Can Skysky sleepover for a few days? His parents are going out of town and their babysitter is sick. His mom texted dad. He said to ask you. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Just a little sick. That's fine. Just don't kill each other. Take your brother with you."

"Yay thank you!"

I hope I'm not as sick as I was when I was pregnant with Lilah.

"You okay? Little one told me you don't feel good."

"Yeah. Morning sickness sucks."

"DAD COME ON! HE'S OUTSIDE WAITING WITH MRS.BEA!"

"And on that note. Bye I love you."

"Love you too."

"DAD!"

"I'M COMING! HOLD YOUR TAIL!"

Jacob's POV
"Alright. Are your seatbelts on?"

"Yes sir!"

"How come you're okay with a boy coming over?"

"I've known your mother since we were kids. We'd have sleepovers all the time."

"So how long's that?"

"We honestly don't know. Okay we're here. Probably all our lives."

The car door opened and a child got in the car.

"Thank you so much Jacob. Our sitter just called and said she's really sick."

"No problem. Hi Sky."

"Hello Mr.Jacob."

"I told you. You don't have to call me that. Jacob's fine."
