"Hey Riv? Can you come here for a second?"
"I know that voice. What's wrong?"
"I need you to promise me something."
"Depends on what it is."
"Do you remember the code to the safe?"
"I think so. Why?"
"If something happens to me I need you to get the kids and run. Run as fast and as far away as you can go. Take all of the money and run."
"You know I can't promise you that! That's impossible! CJ where is this coming from?!"
"What happened to Amic was a close call. Too close of a call."
"But that's not your fault!"
"Still. I need you all to be safe. If something happens then I won't be able to protect you all anymore. I need you to get some place safe. Try to get to Seanna's."
"What the hell?! Why are talking like this?! Talk to me!"
"River please. I don't ask you to do much."
"Then if something happens to me you take the kids and run."
"Deal."
"There's something you're not telling me."
"I can't tell you. I can't have you looking over your shoulder 24/7."
"You not telling me is gonna make me do that anyway! Please just tell me!"
"A pack 30 minutes away got ambushed. They killed almost everyone."
"What?! Please don't tell me it's the pack I'm thinking of. Please don't tell me it was Luke's pack!"
"I'm sorry."
"Is he okay?"
"I have no idea. We can't tell Amicia."
"Can't tell me what?"
"Luke's pack was ambushed."
"What?! Where is he?!"
"No one knows."
"I have to look for him!"
"You can't. Until further notice no one leaves this house. Only certain people can come in."
"Dad please!"
"I can't let you! Go find your brother. Do not leave this house! If I find out you do you'll be grounded for a long long time."
She stormed off.
"You know she's going to leave right?"
"Yep. I don't even know why I try anymore. Onyx go back to your room."
"Someone's outside. I think it's Genevieve."
We ran downstairs. Onyx was right.
"Please tell me brother is here."
"We haven't seen him."
"Shit!"
"What exactly happened?"
"Some guy named Mason happened."
"Wait Mason did this?! Everyone inside! Now!"
We ran inside and we made sure every door and window were locked.
"Do you have any idea where Lukas could have gone?"
"The only place I could think of was here. I think he got lost."
