Begin Again in a New Pack

Chapter 21

                              Terence's POV
A few weeks later the day I could possibly meet my mate came around. But what if she doesn't want me? What if she hates me for some reason? All these "what if" scenarios popped into my mind. My sister came to tell me they were here. There's that scent again. Is that apples? We got downstairs and my heart started to race.

"It's getting stronger."

"No shit Miles."

We made eye contact I could hear my heart beating. Each second it got faster and faster. I'm probably more nervous than I've ever been. I stuck my hand out.

"H-hi I'm Terence."

She shook my hand.

"I'm Ashlynn. This my twin Asher."

We shook hands. I assume Jacob or my sister signaled everyone to leave us alone because everyone walked away.

"So I guess you're feeling it too right?" She asked.

"Yeah. It started a few weeks ago."

"Oh same! Something led me here.I thought it'd be weird if I opened the door and started assuming things you know?"

"Yeah I get it."

"Are you 17 also or are you older?"

"17. One of the reasons my brother and I are friends with Jacob is mostly since our dads are friends. When'd you get here?"

"A few weeks ago. My dad and I were wondering for a few days looking for somewhere else to go. We saw my mom and followed her here."

"Thankfully you found them. It must have felt great seeing them for the first time in a while right?"

"Yeah. I'm glad my mom's okay also. Sucks I lost my friends though."

"I bet. I don't know what I'd do if I lost everyone I cared about."

"It's been what? 13 years. I hardly remember any of them sadly. I was only 4 when it all went to hell."

We spent hours talking and bonding. I haven't talked this long with a non relative in a long time. It felt good.

"So are you going to school here or are you going to do online?"

"I think I want to give public school a chance. I just don't know anything really."

"My brother and I can help you. Only if you want help."

"That'd be great."

Before we knew it it was dark. We both didn't want the other to leave. So we decided to go for a quick run.

                          Gabrielle's POV
A few weeks after Terence and Ashlynn met each other Jacob finally got me an engagement ring. I don't care it took this long. 3 months later we got married. It was a beautiful ceremony.(Author's note~idk how to write this so I'm just doing it this way.)
                          *6 months later*
I woke up in so much pain. I checked my phone and saw it was 2 in the morning.

"Jacob? I need you to wake up."

"Why? What's wrong?"

"I don't know. I'm scared. I'm not due until next week. Ow!"

"Okay I'm gonna put the stuff in the car and I'll come back to help you."

"Please hurry."

My pain comes and goes.He ran out with the bags and came back. I grabbed my stomach then started crying. Jacob helped me get into the car. I put my seatbelt on then curled up into a ball.
