Bobbi's POV

I called Director Fury to set up another meeting and tell him my terms: I wanted a trial period as a consultant/liaison like my Dad had with the SEALs, I would only do missions concerning things I had prior knowledge of/things that had prior knowledge of me, I still wanted to continue with my degree, and I wanted to change my surname again. 'Hayes' was connected to my dad's alias as a SEAL. I decided upon 'Morse' - I liked the irony of Morse code and the whole secret agent thing. It brought a chuckle out of my family, even Spike and Faith. Fury accepted my terms, I think he was just happy I agreed.

Director Fury had arranged for me to join the Initiative on a mission near the UCLA campus to see how I liked it before taking me out to Washington D.C. to see the real thing. So far, I don't think I was fitting in with the organisation. I had already ruffled feathers in the briefing by asking questions, but thing I think made them hate me was this conversation:

"Do you want to change?" Dr. Walsh asked.
"No, I've fought in this halter before." I replied. She did not seem impressed however, Director Fury chuckled and okayed it.

(A/n: Only the mission scene.)

"What do you think?" Fury asked me once we arrived back at their local base.
"The fighting - fun. The people... let's add another clause to our agreement - I never work with Professor Walsh, Riley or any of the Initiative again."
"That's fine. I'm actually putting together a task force of special fighters that's why I came to find you."
"Oh, and here I was thinking that I was special." I said feigning hurt
"You are."

A/n: #IStandWithCharisma - I can't believe that happened to her. I only started watching BTVS & ATS about a decade after they finished so I never heard of any news reports around the time of ATS S4&5 surrounding Charisma's exit. E4 have been showing reruns of them during lockdown and I almost feel bad for enjoying it as she and likely others suffered during the filming of it 😢
