Thirty-Nine:- Knock Knock- What the Hell?
"You're late, my dear Nerd," Jadrianne teased Nathan who just entered the class and sat down at his desk beside her. Nathan scoffed and turned to face her in his seat.
"Since when were you so liberate to be my timekeeper?"
"Since I'm your girlfriend, of course." She grinned cheekily whilst Nathan's ears were heating up from the confident statement. Meanwhile, as students slowly entered the class, the couple's atmosphere did not go unnoticed. None knew of their current relationship status, but they do understand when two beings are loosening the reigns which also affects everyone around them.
"Are they actually cool with each other?" One classmate whispered to the other.
"I dunno, but they look . . . different, though."
"Dude, doesn't the Demon Nerd look a little . . . red?"
Jadrianne and Nathan are both sharp in their own ways so, the whispers flows through one ear to the other. The couple made eye contact and Jadrianne gives him a wink, in response, he reached out to flick her forehead to which the girl ruefully chuckled.
The flowery atmosphere died down when their homeroom teacher entered and exclaimed to the class to quiet down. "Everyone settle down because I'd like to introduce to you guys to a new friend of ours," the homeroom teacher announced.
Nostalgic vibes. Nathan glanced at the dark-haired girl beside him.
"He's far away from home and I hope you guys help out in making sure he's adjusted and comfortable in our community!"
Nathan heard Jadrianne scoff a bit and he turned to look at her questioningly. "Wouldn't you be glad if it was another me?" She queried with a coy grin. Nathan huffed and gestured his fingers into a gun shape while putting the tips of the fingers against the side of his head; Jadrianne quietly chuckled at his exaggeration.
"Come on in!" The homeroom teacher motioned for the new person to come inside the classroom. "Meet our new foreign exchange student from Italy!"
Everyone in the room gasped in awe and whispers erupt. The tall figure walked in with his head held high and a charming smile that struck arrows through most of the teenage girls' hearts in the room. If there was a gust of wind with flowers floating and a ray of sunshine, the new guy would own them.
Nathan nonchalantly reacted when he realised it was the guy he guided to the principal's office just now. "Huh, he didn't seem like a student though."
"Ciao! I'm Zan Vitale. I'm really looking forward to my time here until we all graduate! Especially the lovely ladies here."
Great, a flirt. Just what we needed in the story. Nathan huffed at the thought.
Unknowing to Nathan, while everyone was occupied over Zan, the main subject had their longing gaze upon a certain dark-haired girl.
"Zan, you may take a seat in front of our top student, Nathan at the back."
A beaming smile was directed at Nathan and it was too happy that he felt he might go nauseated from it. Zan made himself comfortable at the designated seat in front of the bored-looking Nathan.
"Salve! You are Nathan, sì?" Zan asked as he turned behind with his hands grabbing onto the back of his chair. Nathan wordlessly nodded at him. Zan gasped in awe. "Since you're a top student, I'm looking forward to a friendship here," he proclaimed with a toothy smile at Nathan before turning to the front.
