Six:- Weird Day
•3 Days Later•
Despite it being peaceful all this while, Nathan has been on the edge ever since that night he told Jadrianne the story. What even made me tell her?! Nathan thought as he slammed his head on his book.
"Shh!" The librarian shushed.
During the three days, Nathan tried his best to not bump into anyone much than he usually does, especially one person. After a fast lunch, he immediately zooms and goes to the back of the library where no one would be around him. It was not all bad since he gets to utilise this time to read more.
Why am I so worked up? It doesn't look like she has any care for anyone though. Nathan thought on Jadrianne not spreading any news throughout the school. Well, I did tell her not to tell anyone. He nodded to himself.
He sighed and decided to just ignore it. Just as he was about to focus on his work, someone plopped their book onto the opposite side of the same table as him. Huh? He thought as he looked up to see a guy smiling down at him.
Raising his eyebrow in confusion, Nathan only watched as the guy just casually sat down. "Hey, there! Mind if we sit here?" He asked with a friendly smile. Nathan blinked before mumbling out, "You ask, but you already sat."
Hmm? What the hell? Who is this guy? Nathan wondered as he stared intently at the guy. He was a little smaller in stature compared to Nathan who had broader shoulders.
The guy chuckled awkwardly but brushed it off. "Who are you?" Nathan bluntly asked. The guy froze and stared at Nathan in disbelief. Face-palming himself, he muttered with a shaky voice, "S-Seriously? He really doesn't remember his victims, huh?"
"Dude chill out. You should know he doesn't really give a shit about anyone; you know?" Another voice spoke making Nathan turn to lean sideways to see who it was. It was another guy and he was wearing glasses; he's a little taller than the other one.
While the other two were speaking to each other, Nathan was deep in thoughts. What the hell are they doing here? Did that tree girl started to spread about my workplace?! Nathan panicked in thoughts.
The first guy noticed Nathan's rigid figure and cleared his throat to get his attention. "Well, since you don't remember, I'm Theodore Hale! We met before!" The first guy introduced. Instead of an answer to realization, Nathan only gave a blank stare.
Until the other guy answered, "Rather than say 'met', you choked him."
Nathan was confused until a memory came back to him.
•Flashback•
"Ack! I-I'm sorry D-Demon-! Ah! I mean, N-Nathan!" The guy stammered as he put his hands together in a prayer gesture. "You made me waste my lunch," Nathan said with a bitter tone.
•Flashback End•
"Ah," Nathan said blankly after recognizing him, "You."
"Wow, you really don't care," Theodore stated with disappointment in his voice like a sad puppy. Nathan rolled his eyes and just continued his homework. "What do you want? I'm busy." He told as he kept on writing. The taller guy sat down beside Theodore. "I'm not particularly excited but this guy here dragged me." He emphasized as he jabbed a thumb in Theodore's direction.
