Twenty:- Torment Training & Testosterone
"Sorry! We're late!"
The impatient tapping and the harsh glare were evident that Nathan was not pleased with their tardy arrival when Nathan waited outside by the gates. Sighing, he knew he'd just waste his voice and time screaming at them.
All eyes were on him who held a straight and confident posture as he stared down at the pale faces of the tardy basketball team. Who could blame them? Their caring captain didn't even 'care' to reveal their mysterious trainer's identity. It turns out, they felt like they just got themselves dragged into hell.
"Oi!" They all jerked. "Don't stand there and gape all there. Get your late asses inside before I haul them in myself!" With that, he turned around and stride towards the entrance that leads to their specific court.
Nathan couldn't care less about their tardiness. All he cared about was getting the training over with and to get his mind off the tensioned atmosphere he had after his conversation with Jadrianne before they came.
"Coming!" Before Theodore could take a step, one of his teammates pulled him back by the shoulder. "Dude! You mad?! THAT'S NATHAN 'DEMON' HOWLAND! He's training us?!"
The captain just laughed and slapped his hand hard onto his member's shoulder. "He offered. Plus, we're gonna be friends! It's gonna be so cool!"
"How the hell can you be so chill about this, Theo?!"
"You brought us to our own murder scene!"
"You told us a really cool trainer is gonna help us!"
"Well, totally 'terrifying' would've sufficed." They all nodded in unison.
Laughing, Theodore just shook his head at their comments. "Chill your tits, gang! Just take this as an opportunity of a lifetime. You guys get to talk to the famous Demon Nerd, Nathan Howland! This is so going in my history book," Theodore gushed.
Doubtful and mostly afraid, the other basketball guys looked at each other with shaky eyes. That is until Brad spoke to ease the tension. "C'mon, guys. You guys know This hopeless guy-"
"Braddy!"
"-wouldn't bring his own team to the depths of our doom, right?" Brad gestured as he placed a hand on Theodore's shoulder. The members shifted around as they knew how sincere their captain was when it came to their team efforts. With that, they all just mumbled 'fine' in surrender.
Seeing their teammates cool down a bit, Brad roughly grabbed Theodore's head. "Ow! Brad! What the hell?!"
He stopped wriggling when Brad exclaimed, "I hope you know what you're doing, Theo. We don't wanna die before the game, okay? Especially not if he's the cause of death." They all roared in agreement.
While Theodore and Brad made their way towards the door of the court, the other guys of the team trailed behind a good few feet away; still cautious of what lies ahead of them.
Nathan stood with his arms crossed while he waited for the rest of the team to group in the booked court. The moment they got the text from their group chat saying they were going to have a unique trainer; they definitely didn't expect him to be the top athlete and Demon Nerd, Nathan Howland.
"G-Guys, I don't think it's too late to make a run for it," they whispered among themselves.
"I'm down! I don't think I-I could last a day having those devil eyes of his on me!" They all agreed and were about to turn until they heard the devil himself barked, "Oi you!"
