Thirty-One:- Virgin-Graduate

Daydreaming was becoming a routine for Nathan. Not only in school but even during his working hours. He once over poured coffee and even nearly oven-baked one of the dessert spoons. Manager Enrique nearly had a heart attack every now and then. Today, he wore mismatched shoes; one foot was his loafer while the other was his sneaker.

"Um, bro? You might wanna take a break now," Emet Carmin, one of the part-time workers, advised Nathan. The younger jolted from his daydream and looked at his colleague. "Ah! Emet! Sorry. I got lost in my thoughts." He sighed and dragged his feet to the locker room to change his shoes.

"Hah! More like lost all common sense!" Bladen commented when he stepped in. Nathan sighed as he closed his locker. "Sorry. I didn't mean to bring my life issues into the coffee shop," Nathan apologized.

Emet chuckled and patted Nathan's shoulder. "No worries, lil bro. We're just lookin' out for ya." He smiled.

Nathan felt grateful to Emet. He's the oldest The older has always been taking care of Nathan as if he were a little brother ever since he started working in the coffee shop. Emet was also a part-time worker who's a college student like Bladen too. Unlike the latter, Emet was more of a big softie.

One: he's the tallest among the crew before Nathan. Two: he's the gentleman of the coffee shop. Emet's charms show that it's no wonder they get regular female customers coming in on such strange day to day basis.

"What's on your mind anyways, Nate?" Emet asked, concerned for his young colleague.

Before Nathan could respond, Manager Enrique strolled into the room. "Haha! I bet it's some problems of the youth, ay hermano!" He winked. "Heh, you could say that, Señor," Nathan awkwardly replied. "Hah! Didn't think a hothead like you could even have such trivial probs," Bladen snorted to which he received a chop on the head from Emet. "Argh! Dammit, Em!" Bladen wailed as he pressed down on the pained spot. "Bullying a kid isn't a hobby, Blade."

Nathan sighed tiredly at the lively bunch. I swear, how the hell did I survive here? He thought. Manager Enrique slung his arm over his troubled young subordinate with a comforting grin.

"Hey, chico. If you got something on your mind, you know you have us!" Manager Enrique assured. Nathan looked from him to a smug face Bladen and a brotherly smiling Emet. Hmm, these pinheads are too nosy. He half-smiled at the thought. "Fine, I'll tell you guys," he sighed, giving in. The guys patted his back with pride, but the cheers stop when Nathan pierced them with a warning glare.

"Only if you guys don't freak out after I do."

...

"HE'S GONNA BE A VIRGIN-GRADUATE!"

"Dude!" Nathan growled and grabbed Bladen from his collar. The college guy only bellowed in laughter. Nathan was beginning to regret telling the guys. Of course, he didn't reveal everything. He only told the fact that Jadrianne was interested in him and that they should try going on a date.

He seriously needed the help.

Manager Enrique chuckled as he pulled the two apart. "That's enough, boys. I don't want my customers to run away that one of my employees got ripped apart from my youngest staff." The Latino manager turned to give Nathan a friendly ruffle on the head. "Good for you though, chico!"
