Forty-Six:- Together in Hell
Nathan sprinted his way through the school gates with expectation glinting in his amber orbs.
Students who were just arriving witness as the usually stoic Demon Nerd looking anxious and panting, with restless eyes, searching among everyone else.
"She's not here yet," he said to himself as he straightened himself whilst catching his breath.
Deciding to wait for a little, Nathan entered through the school doors to head straight for his locker. He unlocks it and as he does, his stare automatically looks over at Jadrianne's locker across from his. He shook his head as he told himself repeatedly that she'll come in due time. After all, her brother did—somewhat—promised to bring her back by the end of the weekend.
Just as he was about to close his locker, in his peripheral view he saw a piece of paper fluttering from the slits of his locker that was from the inside onto the sides of his feet.
Tilting his head in confusion, the teen bent down to pick the paper up, only to realise that it's a note addressed to him. Nathan's eyes widened and without a second thought, he slammed his locker shut, startling a few people nearby.
The teen made his second sprint towards the doors leading to the rooftop. Nathan panted as his feet made it seem they were in control of their master. He didn't care if he pulled a muscle; he just had to get up there as fast as he could.
Pushing the heavy door, he burst out into the open as he frantically looked everywhere for the writer of the note.
"Did you lost your way, red riding hood?"
The male froze in his stance as the voice flowed into his ears. Heart racing so fast it felt as though it would burst out from his chest.
Nathan turned his head around to see the girl he's been worried about standing behind him with her signature coy smile playing on her features.
Jadrianne caught onto his wide amber eyes and snickered. "Come." She spreads her arms wide with a forlorn smile.
Clicking his tongue, he moves forward and engulfs her into his embrace. Jadrianne stumbles a bit due to his heavier form. "Ah, someone's excited," she comments as she wraps her arm, equally as tight as he does.
The taller one disregards her teasing and mumbles against her neck, "Seriously, don't go anywhere that I can't follow."
The statement made her quiet, she felt his grip on her clothing get tighter, almost ripping it off. One of Jadrianne's hands reached up to gently stroke the back of his head and responded, "I'm sorry."
Nathan shook his head. "No, I'm sorry for what I said." He pulls away, still keeping his arms around her. "I don't know much about your world yet and I said all that." He stopped himself when Jadrianne shook her head.
"Let's hug again." Jadrianne leaned in and wrapped her arms around his torso and Nathan had no complaints to return it.
After a while of silence, the two teens sat against the wall with their hands intertwined. It's only been two days since such circumstances fell upon them and Jadrianne felt responsible for what happened, especially for making Nathan worried. Despite him telling her he's sorry, she knew he didn't mean in the way he said it.
Nathan turned his head to Jadrianne who was occupied in giving soft strokes on his hand that she had in hers and spoke to get her attention, "You okay if I asked what happened with Kayne? Did he do anything to you?"
Jadrianne chuckled a bit. "He wants me to go back to Greece."
The news disturbed Nathan. He sat up straight in shock. "What?"
