Chapter 25. Spying

I walked up to Merope as I was sure Sunny wasn't around. I tightly wrapped my arms around her waist. "Hi, Sweetspark..." I murmured. "Oh, hi Sideswipe..." she greeted back. I spun her around and sat her down on the metal table in the gear room. "I had a question..." she hummed. "Who's the soldier you've been talking too?"
"That soldier? Oh that's Tyler..." she replied. "He's new..."

"Ah, right..."
"You should talk to him... he's nice."
"Yeah... Uhm, shall we go to McDonalds or somewhere else?" I asked to change the subject. "We can't... Sunstreaker is going to murder me and I have something else to do..." she replied. It's the first time she rejected my offer and I mentally grimaced. "What? No... Merope."
I grasped her, "your brother is going to murder me... and you too."

She pushed me aside. I kicked the wall in anger as she left. Frustration got me so angry and upset that I wanted to beat the hell out of someone. I needed to know what she's going to do this afternoon. I followed her, watched her.
I got so mad when I spotted her talking to Tyler and they LEFT! They left the base together and she rejected me!

I turned around and marched through the halls. Soldiers jumped aside. I needed to punch someone and I know exactly who my victim is. The person who created this situation. I'll give Sunstreaker a piece of my mind. I marched into the training room. He was doing some work outs and hadn't seen me at first.
When I was close enough, he looked up. "What's wrong with you? Your eyes are red..." he sulked and was about to turn away from me but I lunged for him. With a loud thud he hit the floor. Sunstreaker was quick and kicked my legs and grabbed me painfully tight. We rolled over the floor, kicking and punching each other.

Someone tightly grabbed me from behind, pulling me away from Sunstreaker. "I hate you!" I screamed. "Easy!" Ratchet growled. Sunstreaker's eyes were red too. He wiper some Energon from his mouth. "I don't want to be your twin anymore! I wish I never ended up with an asshole like you! Everything is your fault! Even the fallen is ten times better than the murder and mech you are!" I shouted.

My body was shaking from anger and sadness that overwhelmed me. "I wish there was a way to break our bond... and I would have killed you if we weren't connected!" I screamed. Sunstreaker was hurt, I saw it the way he was looking at me. "If you try to kill her again and you succeed, then I'll kill myself!" I hissed before smashing Ratchet against the wall and storming off.

"Sideswipe!" Sunny's voice roared through the hallway. He marched over to me with a very dominant and angry look. "I don't allow you to control my life any longer!" I snarled. "I'll make her suffer... and I make sure you will see it!" He sneered. "Merope is mine! I love her if you touch her with one finger then I'll rip you apart..."

He laughed mockingly, "don't think I will because I have done it before!" He snarled. I pushed him away from me and stormed off.

I waited for Merope to come back. As soon as she walked in I ran over to her. "Did you had fun?" I spat out. She jumped a little from my sudden yell. "Sideswipe..."
"Am I not important anymore? Do you have a new best friend?" I hissed. "Sideswipe please calm down..."
I slapped her hand away. "Well I get it! Just because my psycho brother is keeping an eye on you do you not want to see me anymore..." I sneered before turning around and storming off.

((Merope's P.O.V))
I walked over to the other hanger. I felt bad. His feelings are hurt and he's just so upset. I crouched down next his alt-mode. "Sideswipe..." I rubbed over his hood. "Sideswipe... I love you. No one can replace you..." I whispered. "You have to leave, it's driving me crazy and you're not with me..."

I left a trail of kisses over the smooth silvery metal. He shuddered. He activated his holoform and pinned me to his alt-mode. I pressed my nose against his, "come..." I grabbed his wrist and pulled him with me to my room.

I know what to do to make him feel better. As I strode in, I headed towards the bathroom and pushed the drain in. Sideswipe watched me undress while leaning against the door. "Aren't you joining?" I purred. He started smirking and quickly undressed.
I settled against his chest and he wrapped his arms around my waist. "Stay with me tonight..." I murmured, laying my head back on his nicely shaped shoulder. He brushed over my cheek before pressing a kiss on my lips.

We didn't chat like we usually did. He wasn't in the mood and to be honest, I wasn't in the mood either. "What am I supposed to do without you?" I asked suddenly. "Nothing..." a weak smile crept up on his face. "I know what we can do..." I frowned a little. "We leave... together."

I turned around so I sat in a straddling position on his lap. "But—" I trailed off. He kissed me, his tongue making his way in my mouth. I squeezed the soft flesh of his shoulders a little. "I don't know Sides..."
"Listen... we leave tomorrow night. I have to take care of a few things and then we leave. Okay? It's the only way..." he said. I hugged him tightly, "okay..."

Sideswipe stayed over with me tonight, he curled up against my back and we both fell asleep.

The next morning, Sideswipe told me to pack some things. At the beginning I had my doubts but slowly I started to get excited about it.
I hadn't seen Sideswipe all day and waited. Sitting on the stairs of the hallway for hours. No sign of him. "Merope?" I turned my head to look at Jazz. "You are sitting here for hours."

I sighed, "waiting for Sideswipe..."
Jazz sat beside me on the stairs. "You're okay?" He asked. "Why wouldn't I?" I mumbled. "You look sad..." he replied. "They are going to transfer me to another base... permanently... Sunstreaker will be happy..." I mumbled. "Why haven't you told us? Does Sideswipe know?"

I nodded, "he does... I can't live without him. I love him... I'd be lost if I have to miss him or can't see him anymore." You have to talk to Prime..." he whispered. "What can he do, Jazz?" I whispered. I didn't want to tell him that Sides and I are leaving because I was sure he'll try to stop us, or worse, Sunstreaker would figure it out, but I do want him to know about me leaving the base permanently, so he'll know why we left.

We both looked up as we heard motion. "What's going on?" I asked as got up. "I don't know..."
I could feel my world collapsing as I heard a soldier shouting to Lennox:

"Sideswipe is missing!"
