Chapter 10: waking up

My eyes felt heavy when I woke up, and I had no idea where I was or what was going on, all I knew was that indient had any pain. I blinked a few times to have a clear vision and noticed Sideswipe next to me.

Excitedly he jumped up "Ah finally! I missed you so much! I've visited you every day!" He purred as he kissed my forehead. "What?! Where am I?" I asked, looking confused around.

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly. "It's a side effect from what I gave her Sideswipe! Give her some space to wake up!" Ratchet said as he came in and removed the infuse in my arm.

Sideswipe looked back at me and smiled "I'm so happy!" He said as he kissed my cheek again. He smiled weakly and closed my eyes again. "Don't you wanna play a game with me?" Sideswipe whined as he gave me a soft push trying to make me play with him. "Sideswipe! She just woke up after two weeks! Give her some space!" Ratchet growled.

"Two weeks!?" I asked shocked. "It was better this way!" He said. "We didn't want you to suffer!" Ratchet added on. I hummed and saw Sideswipe looking at me with desire. "I'm gonna make you a meal! Okay?" He asked but was already gone. "He missed you so much! He came here every day, talking to you about what he had done... plans he want to do with you and how he would pamper you if you would wake up! Plus... one night I caught him sleeping on the ground with snacks all around him" Ratchet said with a sigh

I smiled "yeah... he's sweet!" I sighed. "Your wounds are healing perfectly..." he said as he checked me. I gave a weak smile and watched him leave. Sideswipe returned after half an hour and gave me a tray before helping me with getting comfy.

"I made... pancakes... and your favorite drink... orange juice..." he said proudly. I smiled kissed his cheek "thank you!" I said as I leaned back and started eating. As I was eating, I heard sideswipe's stomach growl hungrily. He quickly laid his hand on his stomach, as if it could stop it now.

"Didn't you make something for yourself?" I asked. "I didn't want to waste time!" He said, playing with the frabric of the sheets. "Come!" I said, throwing the sheets away. He joined me happily and so I shared the food he had made.

Ratchet walked in and sighed "sideswipe! What did I tell you?" Ratchet asked sternly crossing his arms. "To not use the medic berth if I'm not injured!" Sideswipe sulked while looking down. "Precisely! Now get out and clean your mouth!" Ratchet grunted. "Are you sure?! I mean this is quite comfy and warm! Besides this is-..."

"NOW Sideswipe!"

Sideswipe hopped out of bed and pulled back on his shoes before grabbing the tray. "Thanks, sides! It was delicious!" I said. "I know!" He whispered arrogantly before he left. When he returned, Ratchet allowed me to change my medical clothes for normal clothes and have a walk.

Sideswipe who was very excited about that, picked me up and carried me to my room. I wrapped my arm around his neck while he hobbled through the corridors. "I missed you too!" I said. He smiled and pecked my forehead before he stopped in front of my room. Carefully he placed me on the ground and typed the code as he was sure I had found my balance.

"Come!" He chirped, pushing me in. He opened my cabinet and grabbed some clothes. "Do I need to help you with showering?" He asked innocently. "No! I'm able to do it myself!" I said.

After my shower and I was dressed up I stumbled over to Sideswipe who nuzzled in my neck. "Alright! Shall we?" He asked. I nodded and saw he tried to pick me up, up I stopped him. "I can walk swipes! Don't worry!" I said while smiling. He sighed but nodded and grasped my hand, leading me through the base with a smile on his face.

"Alright! Shall we do something fun?" He asked. "I'm still a little bit tired, to be honest!" I sighed. He looked disappointed "maybe a movie marathon tonight?" I asked. He smiled again and nodded "I've something in mind! Your gonna love it!" He chirped.

"Good to see you awake!" Jazz said. I smiled at him "thank you!" I said offering a smile which he returned, but Sideswipe wasn't happy at all. "She needs rest! Come on!" He said and pulled me with him.

"What's your problem?" I muttered. "Look! I have missed you so much and I want you to spent time with me!" He said innocently. With a warm smile, I hugged him and nuzzled in his neck. "Alright, sweetie!" I purred. He grinned and kissed my head.

"What about... me carrying you?" He asked. "I'm fine! Really!" I said a little bit tired. "Don't you wanna lay against my chest and nuzzle into me! You always like to be around me!" He said.

I sighed "okay! Fine!" I sighed. Happily, he could do something for me he picked me up again. "I think you have had enough for today!" He said as I got comfy in his arms and let him carry me.

He hobbled through the base and laid me down on my bed, removing my shoes before he joined me. We watched a movie but I was still tired, and I was laying so warm and comfy I was fighting against sleep. I just didn't want to sleep cause for some reason I felt bad for that, Sideswipe wanted so badly to do something with me... I almost felt guilty about sleeping again.

The mech looked at me for a moment "Still awake!" he teased. I simply rolled my eye and forced myself to keep watching, but it didn't really help he started rubbing my back softly. "Sideswipe..." I whispered. "Yeah?!" he asked, looking down at me. "I am so tired.... if you keep rubbing me I am gonna fall asleep!" I warned. He turned off the Tv and wrapped the covers around my shoulders with a sigh.

"Than go to sleep! I know you're still recovering!" he replied softly while he curled up against me as well. He placed his head next mine as he laid on his side with his arm around my waist. I stared at the ceiling for a moment while listening to Sideswipe's soft breathing. I rested my head against him before I fell in a deep sleep slumber.
