Chapter 19: dead

Sideswipe's pov
I couldn't recharge anymore, and every memory I had was making me cry. Sunstreaker was more than worried and tried to comfort me by laying at my side and holding me close to his chassis. It was odd for him, he didn't even like Merope and still, he tried to comfort me and tell me she was alright.

Sunstreaker brushed his helm against mine and whispered soft things in my audio, trying to stop my whimpers. "Why would someone hurt her Sunny!" I sobbed. Sunstreaker nuzzled in my neck and sighed "I don't know, brother! But she's strong! I'm sure she survived! She always comes back!" He whispered.

I buried my face in his chassis "what if she don't come back! What if it's all my fault she's dead!" I cried. He carried my helm and kissed me softly. "Don't be sad! That won't get her back!" He said softly. "You don't understand Sunstreaker! She's everything for me! She's my world!" I sobbed.

"I know... I know! But there's a chance she's still alive! You know how strong she is! She survived all those years! I'm sure she will survive now as well!" He firmly told me. I sniffed and closed my optics, listening to his strong spark beat. It was nice to be so close to him, I really liked to snuggle with my bro, and I missed that, since I was already upset, I threw that out too.

"You're always mean to me! I miss our cuddle moments!" I sobbed. Sunstreaker wrapped his leg over my hip and pulled me closer, wrapping his arms tightly around my frame. "I'm sorry bro..." he whispered. "Why are you never there for me... why can't I share my worries with you without you mocking me off! Don't you think I have feelings too! You're the only one who understands me... just like Merope! Sunny I need you!" I sobbed.

"I'm here Sideswipe!" He whispered while brushing his helm against mine. "But you're not always there for me like you did in the past... why!? Don't you love me anymore!?" I squeaked. "Sideswipe! I love you more than you realize! But you had the femme!" He said. "But I love you too! And I in all those months she was gone... you treated me like trash! I only tried to make some fun with you... I miss you! I miss the moments we had and cuddled! I miss the talks we had... I miss you! We are twins... why do you treat me like garbage!?"

Sunstreaker made a whimpering sound and snuggled into me. "I'm so sorry brother! Please believe me if I tell you I'm truly sorry? I promise you I won't do it ever again! We only need each other!" He whispered.

I closed my optics and listened to a lullaby Sunstreaker always sang for me in the past. He rubbed me softly, bringing me a deeper stare of relaxation before I fell in recharge.

Somewhere else — ??? POV
I slowly made my way through the trees, pushing all those fragging branches away. A day ago I found an Autobot life signal and I wanted to check it out, just to be sure.

In the background, I heard the river, but it was very quiet. I liked the peace I had here. Just nothing, no complainants, no orders just nothing. It was a good thing I left, though, I had to watch out for Decepticons and Autobots, they were still searching for me.

I stopped walking and looked at my companion who just returned to me. He gestured at the river and without asking further questions, I stalked over to the river to see what my loyal companion had found.

I stopped walking as I saw something, which looked like a human. I raised an optics ridge and approached it, maybe it was dead, I wasn't sure. She didn't react to me either.

As I knelt down, I grabbed it and laid it on the shore. My companion looked at her as well. "Merope..." I sulked, remembering the day she saved my life from Starscream. I bit my lip, what should I do with her, she was still alive, her life signal was weak, but she was still alive or I could finish whoever started this.

While considering my options, my companion looked at me and I already knew what he was thinking. I sucked in a vent "fine! We take her and see if we can save this piece of flesh?" I growled before picking it up.

So many blood on my servos, it really annoyed me, but she was in my deb, so I had to try to save her. Maybe it was helpless, I didn't know, I'm not a medic. I took her to the abounded factory I found. My ped steps echoed through the halls as I stalked over to an empty storage room I used as my berthroom.

I laid the femme on the ground and transformed, stalking over to her. "Help me with her!" I said, glaring at my companion. He sprinted over to me and looked down at her throat before he left. I tore her shirt apart and took it off, staring at the deep flesh wounds.

"Hmm... how am I gonna fix this!" I sulked, looking at my companion as he returned with what looked like a first aid kit. "How did you get that!?" I asked with a frown. He shrugged his shoulders s examined her wounds before grabbing some supplies.

I helped him as did as he instructed me. "How do you know all this!?" I asked with a frown. He simply shrugged his shoulders and didn't even look at me. I didn't ask any more questions and stabilized her systems.

"Guess we need to wait!" I muttered under my breath. My companion and looked down at the femme, brushing some hair out of her face and pointed at her. I raised a brow, but I suddenly realized what he meant and lowered my face a little.

"Sideswipe..." I growled with gritted teeth. "They fragged!" I grunted. "I still don't see why she would choose for an idiot like him! There are so many mechs who are better than him!" I muttered.

My companion nodded slightly but didn't react to it. I bit my lip and looked down at her, I wasn't sure if she would make it, but at least I could try, she saved my life too once...
