Chapter 27. Truth

"I need to know... would you have left with my brother if I didn't come along?"

I perked my head up to face the yellow mech. "Yeah, probably, if he's not injured," I muttered. He snorted and shook his head. "You can't take him from me!" He snapped. "I am not taking him... he's taking me and choosing me above you. Not a surprise..."
"What's that supposed to mean!" He hissed. "What do you think, Sunstreaker?" I snapped back. He snorted and shook his head, sitting back down on the couch. "I can't believe it..." he scowled. "Yeah, well... perhaps you should blame others and look at yourself first..."I muttered annoyed. He shot me a glare

When we hit the road, Sunstreaker wasn't talking and was awkwardly quiet. I sighed unhappily, missing Sideswipe a lot. He's never quiet during a drive. He always talks about something and makes the trip a lot more better. "Do you hate me?"
The question came out of the blue and got me off guard. Sunstreaker turned his head. "Do you?" He pushed. "You sliced open my throat, left me for dead during a mission, hurt Sideswipe's feelings, you're trying to drive us apart, drugged your own Twix, hurt my feelings and you're asking me into hate you?"

He looked back at the road. "You're my least favorite Autobot and probably my least favorite person in the entire universe. The only reason I am here with you is because of Sideswipe. I love him and not being with him drives me crazy. I want to see him before I leave..."

"You're leaving?"
I nodded slightly, "they transferred me to another base... so lucky you..." I muttered. He stared at me for several moments. "Aren't you happy?" I sulked. "Why? Why are they transferring you?" He sulked. "Because... I am property of the government. Sideswipe was upset about it and what happened with you... he decided it's better to leave. We already had a plan of where to go... where to live..." I muttered.

"Do you think he would have contacted me... if he succeeded to leave... do you think he would come back for me?" He asked. "No... he's hurt... you broke his spark. He cried because of how mean and rude you are... so, no... I don't think he would have contacted you in the near further if we succeeded to escape..."

The mech said nothing and stared at the road. "He didn't ask you to like me, just to accept me. You never did..."
He huffed, but said nothing. "You hate me..." I whispered under my breath. "I don't..."
I laughed mockingly at that. "You don't?" I scoffed and shook my head in disbelief. "Lier..." I scowled. "I am serious about it..." he snapped. "I am not lying..." he muttered. "Just shut up... I don't want to hear you out..." I sulked and looked out of the window.

"You are seeing me as a monster—"
I cut him off, "yes! Because you kept proving me that!" I shouted. He flinched a little, something Sideswipe did too when I was shouting at him. He also had the same look on his face Sideswipe would give me. "How do you think I feel around?" I growled and rolled my eyes. "I just want to be with Sideswipe... at least he understand me..." I murmured.

There fell a silence between us. "Do you really love him that much? That you're risking everything? Even your own life?" He asked. "Are you threatening me again?" I snapped. "No! I just— I am jealous..."
I glanced at him, but he was staring at the road. "Jealous?" I asked in disbelief. He didn't answer and I shook my head. "Yes... you obviously have someone who loves you... and seeing my brother like this angers me..."

"It's your own fault... perhaps if you were nicer things would have been different..." I sulked. "I'd like to try... if you're willing to give me a change..." he replied. "I love Sideswipe... I will never love you..." I snapped bitterly. He clenched his jaws together and stared at the horizon. "You created this situation, Sunstreaker. Don't get mad at me or your brother..." I barked. "Well I told you I am sorry and that I regret it!" He shouted.

Tension started to rise and for a long time we said nothing. "What do you expect me to do? Just forget about the things you said and did?" I snapped. "You won't leave with my twin! He's the only one who loves me..." he snapped eventually.
I rolled my eyes, "you created this situation..." I repeated. "Stop telling me that!" He sneered. "Why are you getting upset? Am I saying strange things or don't you want to get confronted by what you did?"
He huffed and shook his head. "Well?" I snapped. "Just drop it!" He snapped. "No! You started about and you're a cowered if you ran away from it now!" I snapped.

Sunstreaker came to a stop somewhere and I hopped out. "Where do you think you're going?" He shouted as he followed me. "I am going to find Sideswipe alone..." I sneered. "No! You stay!" He grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "I don't want you to leave..."
I hit his cheek so hard that he backed off and Energon dripped from his lip. He gave me a look Sideswipe also had when he was hurt or sad, but I am not going to fall for that...

"Don't act you're a victim, Sunstreaker! You're not... all the things you did to me, Sideswipe and other humans... people will run away from you, you will get isolated and af some point, no one cares about you anymore... all because of you..."

"I don't want that!" He sneered.
"THEN STOP BEING A JERK!" I screamed. He was trembling and so was I. "You think you're so tough and amazing... but you're nothing more but a delusional piece crap... it doesn't matter how good you are at fighting... respect had to come from two sides..."

"I love Sideswipe because he's sweet, funny, caring, adorable and he makes me feel alive. He's always there for me no matter what... he would risk his life for me and I would do the same for him..."
He turned around so I couldn't see his face. "So... are you leaving me now too?" He snapped. "I already left you... a long time ago. The only reason we are is because we have the same goal... although, perhaps our roads separate from here..."

He turned around again. "Don't! I want you to stay..."
I snorted and crossed my arms. "Please..." he never used that word. I didn't even know it was in his vocabulary. "Whatever..." I sulker and strode over to his alt-mode again.
