Merope's pov
The sun was getting higher and it was getting warmer. I stopped for a moment and hold a tree, I really needed some water. I looked around, there was nothing else other than... mountains and grass... a lot of grass.

With a grunt I limped further, I was sure the wound was infected by now. I stopped by hearing a strange sound behind me, but when I turned around, there was nothing.

With a frown, I scanned the area, but the feeling of being watched never left. As I turned around, I saw scornopok, he tried to sting me and only caused a cut in my thigh.

I groaned in pain and backed off while he tried to get me. I had no weapons with me and I wasn't really fast with two injured legs. I screamed as he stabbed me in my shoulder and pushed against the floor. The pain was terrible and I couldn't stop screaming.

He pulled back and tried to grab me again, but I was faster and kicked him in his optics before I got up and made a run for it, helpless of course, but I had to try!

I climbed, trying to get away from him, but scornopok was quicker than I was right now. The stone I was holding broke and I ended up on the ground, scratching my knees when I tried to get my balance back.

The stones underneath bruised my ribs, making me gasp in pain. "Please! What do you want from me!" I cried. Scornopok stopped before he wanted to stab again. "Please! I don't wanna have a fight! Please... all I want is going back to Sideswipe! Okay... whatever I did... I'm sorry!" I sobbed. The tears made my vision blurry. Scornopok holds his tail only inches away from me, almost touching my neck.

"Please! Please let me go!" I whispered. I saw the stones behind me, they didn't need much to collapse. When he was off guard I kicked the rocks and jumped away as they collapsed and landed right upon scornopok.

Quickly I run off, holding my ribs. As I was out of breath and energy I looked back, nothing. But I knew this wouldn't kill him and he was pissed. I stopped as I heard a creek. It was leading to a river with some trees and grass. Quickly I limbed over to it and started to drink before I cleaned up my new wounds.

I decided to stay here, I had nowhere else to go and I couldn't and didn't want to move a single muscle. So underneath some rocks, I curled up and let the pain wash over me.

Around the late afternoon, still nothing had happened so I had luck with that, but it was a little bit chilly or it was a reaction from the fever I caught this morning. One of my wounds was infected and gave me a fever.

As I was snoozing, I heard something in the background. I didn't really know what it was, I was too tired to lift my head and have a look, I could only hope it wasn't scornopok! But that was impossible, he didn't have an engine. This sounded so familiar, but I had no clue what it could be.

It was sounded too strong for a military vehicle. I curled up to a ball, trying to ignore it, I didn't care what it was, I just wanted to be left alone. I was in too much pain to deal with it.

I weakly opened my eyes as I heard footsteps and someone kneeling down next to me. "Merope?" A familiar voice whispered, laying his hand on my flank, softly rubbing me. I looked at Sideswipe and smiled "you came for me!?" I whispered. He nodded and rubbed my flank "always!" He stated firmly.

"Can you walk?" He asked. I shook my head "to much pain! Scornopok attacked me this morning... he stabbed me in my shoulder... and tried to get away... but in my rush, I fell off the cliff, I bruised my ribs or maybe I broke them, I don't know but it hurt if I move!" I whispered.

He sighed and brushed some hair out of my face "come on! Then I'll bring you home!" He said, picking me. I let out a hiss as he did so but was relieved I didn't have to walk.
