Weeks passed by, everyone's lives kept on changing. April Kepner had gotten the marriage of her dreams. Callie and Arizona had been searching for a new house. Bailey had her husband, Ben Warren, back at the hospital as an intern after some troubling weeks she had with her OCD.

But Bailey wasn't the only one who had some tough weeks. Shane suffered from a mental breakdown in the OR after months of guilt over Heather's death. The person he was operating on was Alex's father. Meanwhile, Derek received a call from the POTUS and his whole career was about to be taken on the next level.

Everyone's lives were somehow changing. Some for the best, some a little bit worse. But Aurora was still the same. Still happy. Still with Jackson. She avoided drama at all costs. But something always happens that just takes away your happiness. And with Grey Sloan Memorial reputation, staying outside of the drama was just not possible.

Aurora was meeting Derek for an early coffee, as he had a meeting later on with people from the White House.

"I like your tie." Aurora smirked and put her cup of coffee on her lips. "You're ready? It's kind of a big day for you."

"I try not to feel anything right now. I mostly feel guilty..."

"Meredith?" Aurora asked and he nodded his head. Derek had promised his wife to take a step back from his career and be there for his family as she took her own career to the next level. "I get it, it's hard. But that's not something you say no to. You can't just say no to your dream and the president. I guess you'll fight a bit about it, but she loves you, she's going to be supportive about it." She was a little bit unsure about her words. She knew that she couldn't always count people's actions based on what she would do. "I just want you to know that I am really of you Derek. I think that you deserve that chance. You are the best they could have."

"Thanks Ari." Derek smiled at her and gave her a quick hug before he left for his meeting.

"I missed you." Aurora kept on kissing Jackson on an on-call room. She backed him up against the door and took off his scrubs. They had only seen each other the previous morning. In between surgeries and Aurora staying at the hospital longer than him. They had spent the whole day apart.

"If this is you when we're apart for a day, I am going to go for a week and see how that goes." Jackson smirked against her lips.

"Don't even think about it." Aurora took a step back to look at him. "Not seeing each other could mean unnecessary drama, and I promised myself that one of my relationships will be for once drama free. And with everything that is going on around here, I am getting scared."

"Hey," Jackson wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her closer to him again, "nothing is going to keep us apart. We're both old enough to keep this relationship steady and healthy."
