Aurora had a scowl on her face when she entered the apartment after dropping off Audree to the babysitter for the night. Jackson was in the living room, helping the caters get everything prepared for the party. When Catherine got better after her surgery, it was time to celebrate that everything went well. Their closest friends from the hospital were coming to celebrate for Catherine Avery and her surgeons. Jackson had been anxious about it for a week and Aurora tried to help him as much as possible; the hardest thing she did was make her daughter sleep away from them. It was the biggest help she could offer.

Jackson glanced at her when he heard the door, greeting her. He doubled check on her when he noticed that she was upset, and Aurora tried to smile, not wanting to worry him. "What's wrong babe? Was Audree crying a lot?" He asked as he tried to make a candle stand up straight.

"No, I promised her that we were going to play dress up tomorrow." She replied after placing a kiss on his cheek. "Daddy is going to be a princess." She informed him and gave him a sweet look as he groaned slightly.

"Sounds about right!" He gave in, not even caring if he had to put a red wig to be Ariel or have his nails polished. He was willing to do anything his daughter wanted just to see her smile. "But please don't let her make me Rapunzel again, blond doesn't look good on me."

"Everything looks good on you." She commented and took the candle out of his hands pouring some wax into the holder, making it stand straight.

"What would I do without you?" He asked before placing his hands on her waist, bringing her closer to him. He took a good look at her face, noticing that something was indeed bothering her, but she was keeping it to herself. He could understand her mood from miles away. It annoyed her sometimes, but she secretly loved that he knew her better than she knew herself. She only smiled as a reply and then he was sure that something was off. There was no sarcastic remark, no teasing. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong Jackson. I am fine." She reassured him with a peck on his lips. "I am going to get ready, okay? Going to wear that red dress you love." She whispered at him, trying to disorientate him from what was wrong with her. Because there was something wrong, but she didn't want to talk to Jackson about it just yet. She didn't want to upset him; only to help him get everything perfect for his mother.

When Aurora walked down the stairs the place was almost ready. "Wow, I think that you have found every egg roll in Seattle." She walked up to Jackson who was placing everything on the table.

"Well, Mom said nothing too fancy."

"Our house looks even more amazing. Catherine is going to love this." She walked up at the living room's table smelling the bouquet of flowers. She always loved everything about flowers. She always wanted to have a small garden of her own, but she never had the time and now between being a doctor, a wife and a mother there was no way she would ever be able to have tulips and roses at the back of her house.
