Aurora closed her eyes as the light breeze hit her face once she walked out of the plane. She had just landed and she took a walk down her memory lane as soon as her eyes saw the familiar scenery in front of her. She could just see herself the first time she arrived there all those years ago.

She was younger back then. She was full of excitement for life, for adventures, for new experiences. She hadn't lost those traits as she gotten older. But she knew that she needed security and stability a little bit more than before.

She remembered herself feeling scared the first time she flew away. It was also the first time she was away from her home. But she didn't let fears consume her. But this time, the fears were the only thing guiding her. Because she was terrified of what could happen to her.

She went straight to the hospital. She tried to keep Lorena in her mind and no one else. But that was something else that just made her not want to be there.

She spent a couple of minutes outside just staring at the place. Everything has changed so much since the last time. It didn't feel right for her to just be anywhere near there.

The moment she stepped her foot inside people started greeting her. The faces were all familiar to her. And she was to them. And for a second it felt like it hadn't been two years since she left. The last two years of her life felt just a dream to her for a moment. And even though she wished everything was a dream, there were parts of her life that she wouldn't change for anything. Because something good always comes out of a bad situation.

And as she walked closer to Gabriela's office, her thoughts got frozen. The very moment she saw him.

The flashbacks came right back at her, making her take a step back and hide behind a wall. So she couldn't see him and he couldn't see her.

She got control of her breathing and repeated two words in her head, again and again. It's over.

And just like Jackson knew that she was having trouble the first hour of her comeback, he called her. Aurora stared at her phone screen, his picture had taken over. But she didn't dare to answer. Because in that moment she only had herself. Just knowing that he was there for her it was enough for her. But she had to count on herself and don't wait for someone else to rescue her from her thoughts. She could rescue herself, like she had done before.

Aurora took one more deep breath and left her hideout. She kept her head up and only looked straight ahead, even when she felt someone's eyes following her. She wouldn't let him affect her, not anymore. There was a reason she came back. And that was the only thing she tried to keep in mind.

She knocked on Gabriela's office door and the tall brunette woman let Aurora go inside with a bright smile on her face. Gabriela was only few years older than Aurora. She was an ob surgeon and she pretty much ran the whole program and sometimes the whole hospital. "Aurora," she exclaimed and hugged her. "It's so good to see you. I wish it was under different circumstances. But still, we've all missed you here."
