"Happy birthday."
Aurora woke up with the sound of Jackson's voice in her ear, bringing her goosebumps all over her body. It was her birthday and she was turning 32. The last years she hadn't really celebrated her birthday, as she was always mourning the lost of her family. But that day she just wanted to spend the whole day with Jackson in the bed. But she knew that she couldn't do that.
"Oh god, I overslept." She exclaimed and sat up, making Jackson fall back on the pillow. "Callie is going to start looking for me and she is going to ask me where I was and what am I going to say? I've been finding stupid excuses every other night."
"It's been two months, Ari" Jackson put the pillow on his head. "I don't get why you don't want to tell anyone that we're back together and we're getting married."
"I like this. Just you and I, it's just private and sexy and I like it." She grabbed the pillow out of his face. "But tonight I'll find an excuse to celebrate my birthday just with you." She climbed on top of him.
Jackson groaned at the sudden weight on him. "Well, I do have to give you your presents. You got part of one last night, but there's more to come." He wrapped his arms around her waist.
"See? Hiding is sexy." She pecked his lips. "You have to let me go." She said as Jackson didn't move his hands. "Jackson." She whined.
"Just move back here." He pleaded. "It's been two months. You've been walking up in the middle of the night just so you can sneak back in to Callie's house. It makes me feel like a dirty mistress."
"Okay, we will start telling people soon. Just not today."
"Fine. Happy birthday." He said again against her lips.
"Thank you!" She whispered and stayed in his embrace a little longer.

"Hey! You excited?" Arizona asked Jackson later that morning at the hospital.
"About...?" Jackson asked.
"Ari's birthday. We're throwing her a surprise party later, didn't Callie tell you?" She said as she was pining an "want a roommate" paper on the announcement board.
"Oh...um... no." Jackson stuttered and left as he wasn't sure what to say. Aurora wanted to spend the day with him, she had told him that she wanted a quiet day. How was he supposed to ignore that people wanted to throw her a party?
But as he walked away Callie walked up to him. "Hey, Avery. I wasn't sure if I should invite you, but Ari has been happy again and I guess you two are cool?" She guessed, "we will throw her a surprise party today, so you can come if you want."
"Are you sure it's a good idea to do that?" He avoided her gaze and continued walking to the ER. "She doesn't really like surprises."
"Oh come on, it's Ari. She loves everything. She survived a bad year, the accident, Derek's death, you breaking up with her. And now I'm pretty sure she's met someone. She thinks that I don't notice her sneaking around, but what am I supposed to say to her? I'm not her mother, I'm just letting her stay over because she doesn't want to go back to Mark's place."
