"So you don't want to talk about it?" Jackson asked Aurora for the third time that morning. "You're not even going to tell me that you're okay, physically and mentally."
They were walking together at a small cafe they liked getting coffee from. They usually met there after having different shifts at the hospital, so they could spent some more time together.
"Jackson" Aurora sighed, "I am standing next to you. Isn't that enough? Can we just forget I ever left?" She asked. Jackson had been trying to get anything out of her about the trip or why she returned back so soon. But every time he brought it up, she became distant. She had promised herself to truly leave everything behind. So she just hated how Jackson wouldn't drop it.
"No, because I see you and I understand that you're not okay." He stopped her by taking her hand. "I want to be supportive, how can I be if you don't talk to me?"
Aurora moved in front of him and placed her free hand at the back of his head. "Having you in my life is all the support I need." She gave him a short kiss. "Can we please go to the hospital? Derek said something about a surprise and I want to know what it is."
Derek had texted her the previous night to come at the hospital early because he had a surprise for her. Aurora loved surprises as much as kids loved Christmas. So she woke up really early that morning and even dragged Jackson with her, even though he still had few hours until his shift had to start.

"No way" Aurora was staring in front of her shocked and very very happy. "Oh my god! She's here. She can't be here. What is she doing here?" She was mumbling to herself as she saw the person that was standing next to Derek. "Mel" she exclaimed and ran up to her old friend. Amelia Shepherd.
"Surprise." Derek smiled and looked between the two of them with a smile on his face. He remembered how they used to be inseparable when they were younger. But even though they had chose the same career, they somehow drifted away and they hadn't been talking much since Aurora had left for Peru.
They had both been trying to catch up since the moment Aurora moved to Seattle, but life was always catching up with them and they hadn't seen each other for years. But that didn't mean that they hadn't missed each other.
Aurora had learnt what Amelia had gone through with her baby and even though she tried, she couldn't be present in her life. They had so many problems happening to both of them at the same time and they had forgotten what it felt like having the support of a friend, a best friend.
"Roar hey" Amelia hugged her.
"Roar?" Jackson questioned Derek as the two friends were hugging.
"It's what Amy likes calling Ari, I don't even know. But I've also stopped questioning everything those two are doing long time ago." Derek replied to him as the two women were acting like two school girls.
