Jessica's P.O.V.

~16 Years Later~

You know when you make plans for something but then everything gets in the way? That's what happened with my wedding. Damon, Nik, and I love each other very much but we decided that we would wait for the twins to get old enough to be a part of the wedding which they were when they were two and we set a day. We were going to have a wedding in July and then in May, I found out I was pregnant. Then we decided to wait because we wanted baby number three to be part of the wedding.

She ended up being a girl and we named her Miranda Rebekah Salvatore-Mikaelson. After Miranda was born, Caroline and Jo realized that Malachai was, in fact, correct. It was hard to help the Gemini twins control their siphoning powers so with a generous donation from us, they created the Salvatore Boarding School in my mansion. Klaus was a little upset that I had given it up but after realizing that it would be good for not only our twins but Hope and Miranda as well, he was happier.

Caroline and Jo are the head of the school but since the only one that's worked in academia is Alaric, he is the school's headmaster. His first act as headmaster was to hire the school's first teacher: me. I was going through the Salvatore Boarding House and the St. John Armery that Enzo had happily given me access to for stuff to teach the kids with when I came across a globe that, once I powered up with magic, allowed us to see where supernatural creatures were with dots. The brighter the dot, the more powerful the child.

We used that to find supernatural kids and apparently my actions to create peace between the species were successful and also made me a well-known figure in most supernatural households so they were more than willing to let their children study under my tutelage. After that, I just got busy. It's hard teaching tons of kids and as I was the only teacher for a while, that didn't help. Eventually, Nik and Damon came to work for the school along with Elijah and Vivianne. We all visited the compound frequently but I think the kids were happy that we taught there.

Elijah and Meredith sent Erika to the school and all the kids practically ruled together but if you ask Caroline, Carter takes after me. I can't really disagree because just like when I was in school, the kids tend to flock to her. She has a natural leadership aura and Henry isn't very different. Since all three of us were teaching at the school, we kind of forgot about the wedding until a few months ago when Hope asked why we weren't married and we realized we had forgotten.

That's how I found myself here, in Damon's old bedroom at the Salvatore Boarding House getting ready for the wedding. "Why couldn't we just get ready at the Mikaelson Mansion? That's where the wedding is, Care," I point out and she groans.

"Because I know you and your grooms and all three of you would see each other and that's bad luck!"

"Aunt Care's right," Hope tells me and I shoot her a look.

"Aunt Care is out of her mind, Hope. This isn't her wedding and she didn't even tell me she was getting married until the day of her wedding because she worried that I would control it." Caroline winces, realizing that I'm right and she had done exactly that to my wedding.

"Mom's right, Aunt Care. You may be the maid of honor but you're being a bit of a control freak," Carter tells her.

"Yeah, you came back from recruiting just to plan the wedding and didn't even realize that you put down nothing Aunt Jess even liked," Lizzie tells her.

"You planned your own wedding for her," Josie adds and I grin.

"See Hope, told you I was right," I brag and Elena rolls her eyes.

"Whatever Jessica, you just changed everything anyway. You could've just told Caroline."

"But she was having so much fun. I would've been scared to tell her she wasn't planning my wedding too," Bonnie chimes, and I chuckle as Caroline turns to me with a regretful look.

"Sorry, Jessi."

"Relax, Care, I'm fine and this wedding will be amazing. We just need to hurry so we aren't late for the wedding." Caroline checks the time and groans before using her vampire speed to do the twins' make-up as I help Miranda finish with hers. Once we are all ready, we get into the limo and head to the mansion.

Once we get there, Caroline sends me into a room while the kids head in with Elena, Meredith, and Bonnie. We had decided to only have a maid of honor and a best man. They had decided on Stefan and Elijah while I had obviously picked Caroline so they walk into the room before the wedding march plays.

I take a deep breath as Ric offers me his arm while the doors open and then I start down the aisle. The chairs we had set up in the ballroom are filled with students and friends. I see Henry and Carter watching with wide smiles as Miranda looks at Nik and Damon. I turn my gaze to them and notice the tears in their eyes as I make my way towards them. Ric gives me away and takes his place next to Jo and their twins before Kol begins the ceremony.

The wedding passes quickly and I feel like I'm in a dream. As we head to the reception, it all hits me. This is my life. We had been through so much together and apart. I had lost my parents and then got thrown into this life of supernatural creatures that wanted me dead. We had battled Silas and evil New Orleans witches that came back from the dead. The three of us had overcome so much to be here and now we were happy.

I had even found a way to stop the twins from having to merge. Sure, things weren't great, we still had monsters to fight, a new one called Malivore, but we were happy and content because we knew we had each other. I remember growing up and wondering if I was meant to be alone forever but every day I wake up to the two most loving men I have ever met and three beautifully wonderful children. I couldn't imagine wanting anything else and even knowing everything meeting them would bring, I wouldn't change it for the world.
