Jessica's P.O.V.
You'd think that after we finally got rid of that dickhead Tristan and locked his psycho sister in a wall, we'd finally have a reprieve of all the problems, right? You'd be wrong. Apparently, Aurora suspected we would do something to her after learning that Niklaus no longer loved her so when we got back from the cemetery, where Davina informed us of her newest role in the Strix coven so she can bring Kol back from his nonexistent death.
Marcel informed me that my spell worked and made his tarot card say he was loyal and that it would have been nice to know that I knew what was coming, we noticed someone had broken down the wall and freed our sleeping beauty. Get it because they have the same name?
Anyway, as if that weren't enough, Klaus decided to teach his friend, who still kinda has a thing for him, Cami to be a vampire but since he spent most of the first year they knew each other compelling her, she understandable didn't take it well and recalled that Klaus had carved a wooden knight out a nearby tree that he gave to Rebekah, which now belonged to Hope.
With the Strix realizing that it was that knight that was the white oak, Cami took it upon herself to take it from Niklaus and is now cloaked by a very powerful Vincent, who Davina passed the regency to temporarily, which I did not know was a thing but apparently is proving yet again that New Orleans witches are stupid.
The point is, I was awakened this morning by Henrik, Davina, and Freya who called a family meeting to inform us of all that had transpired. "Right, well why don't you take the regency back?" Jenna asks and I have to admit, it's a good question.
"I can't. It's a transference of power. I needed to seem weak to the Strix so Aya would approach me and the ancestors would never allow a regent to work for a group of vampires," she explains.
"Screw the ancestors. You're stronger than them anyway because you practice my magic. Why not just unlink the covens from them? They lose power and then have no choice but to bow down to you as you are without a doubt the strongest," I point out, taking a drink of my orange juice before finishing. "That's why they all listen to me."
"Yes, fear is a very powerful motivator, Love," Klaus inputs and Damon nods his head before Henrik growls in frustration.
"I could care less about who's regent. We need to find the white oak."
"Relax, brother. I know Camille. Once she gets her newly heightened emotions under control, she'll remember that if she is the cause of any harm to this family Jessica will grant her a most horrific death," Klaus grins and I roll my eyes.
"I'm so glad that it is now your girlfriend that terrifies your enemies. Nice," I comment and Kol snorts.
"Well, as entertaining as that was, what's to say that someone else, say Vincent for instance, who hates our family thanks to our dear brother Finn, who's still trapped in a locket after hexing me, good riddance, doesn't take the white oak from Cami and cut it up to use on us?" I watch fear creep into everyone's eyes as I continue to eat my bite of french toast before speaking.
"That is a very good point, my dear friend. However, in order to steal the white oak from Camille, she would first have to possess the true white oak." Everyone looks at me in surprise as I take another bite. "I don't need some stupid seers to know things and I'm quite frankly shocked that none of you give me credit for being this intelligent. Especially Elijah and Damon who have seen me use this same magic in person."
"The moonstone," Elijah whispers and Meredith frowns.
"What?"
"Before the sacrifice, Jessica gave my brother both Katerina and the moonstone," he begins but Meredith, having seen my life story, finishes for him.
