3rd Person P.O.V.
When Damon Salvatore showed up in New Orleans with Elena and his brother, who had a run-in with a certain vampire hunter's sword, he thought his biggest problem would be the fight he had with his girlfriend before he left for Mystic Falls and the fact that he didn't see her the whole time she was there after Caroline gave birth. It took him all of two seconds to realize he was wrong.
He led Stefan and Elena up to Jessica's bedroom, knowing that Elena only came to see her and that if anyone knew how to help Stefan, it'd be her. As soon as he opened the door, he was greeted by the sight of Klaus, Meredith, Elijah, and Vivianne gathered by her bedside as she looked at them in confusion before catching sight of Elena.
"Oh, thank God. Please tell me that you know where I am or what's happening, Lena. Or at least who these people are and why they have my face," she says with an angelic smile that Damon immediately notices is different than the ones he's seen. He studies her for a while, attempting to locate the difference while they try and figure out where Jessica's spout of amnesia came from when it hits him. He's seen that smile, the one that's light and happy, one that hasn't seen the tragedy that had befallen the Gilbert family. It's with this realization that he speaks up, catching everyone's attention.
"Jessica, what day is it?"
"What? Why would I know that?"
"Fine. What year is it?"
"September 2018, why?" She answers with a frown, noticing that the man in front of her is hot, along with the one with a sexy British accent who looks at her as though she's the most beautiful girl he's ever met. She turns her frown into a flirty smile at the blue-eyed man in front of her until she notices her sister's frown.
"Why are you looking at me like that, Lena?" Jessica then looks at her outfit and frowns. "And why are you dressed like you took shopping advice from a homeless person with absolutely no taste?" She asks bluntly and Elena frowns, realizing that she knows that Jessica, the one that didn't really regard the effects of her words. It was one of the things that jumped out at her when she learned she didn't have a whole lot of emotions. Looking back at Jessica before the accident, she was mean but it was unintentional, and learning that she didn't have a lot of feelings made it all make sense.
"Jess, the year is 2023, not 2018," Elena reveals.
"So what, she has amnesia that caused her to forget 5 years of her life?" Stefan wonders in shock, his hunter problems forgotten.
"No, she been aged backward 5 years," Damon answers, making everyone look at him in surprise.
"How do you know?"
"The same thing happened to Derek."
"You have experience dealing with people that have been aged backward?" Stefan demands and Klaus sighs.
"No, Jessica does. Sadly, she no longer remembers what happened."
"Okay, will somebody please tell me what's going on here and who the hell you are?!" She finally exclaims so Meredith speaks up. She introduces everyone and their relationship to Jessica as Jessica takes it all in. Everyone watches her, worried her anger would explode and there would be casualties but Jessica shocks them all by grinning. "So you're telling me that not only am I dating both icy blue over there and sexy accent over here but I'm also like a born again virgin because I lost it to one of them?"
"Umm, if you want to look at it that way," Vivianne says and Jessica grins.
"Man, I am doing great for myself. It does suck that I'm not drinking age anymore," she frowns before it turns into a smile. "Oh, who am I kidding? Like that's ever stopped me from drinking." She stands from the bed and makes her way downstairs. Everyone sits dumbfounded for a few moments before scrambling after her to see her about to drink bourbon.
