3rd Person P.O.V.

Jessica Gilbert wakes up feeling refreshed in the arms of Niklaus Mikaelson. She smiles as she notices that he's still in a deep sleep and presses a feather-light kiss on his forehead before heading to the nursery where she can tell her babies are awake. She walks in and smiles at the happy babies that she had to wake several times to feed through the night and picks them up to feed them once more before getting dressed for the day.

She had just finished and moved towards their dresser when the door opened to reveal Elijah, who gives the doppelgänger a slight smile. "I apologize. I heard motion in here and thought it may be my brother in need of help."

"No worries. I just finished feeding them and now it's off to get dressed for the day," she states with a grin as she looks at the many adorable baby clothes she had picked out with Caroline and Bekah. She can feel that Elijah is still there but she also knows he wants to say something so she doesn't disturb his thinking. Suddenly, he pulls her into a hug, careful not to hurt the twins.

Once he pulls away, he has an abnormally sheepish look on his face. "I do apologize for the rush of affection but not only did you save my brother last night, we all feared the worst. Freya told us you wouldn't feed on her and that you were weak when we arrived. You have no idea just how detrimental you are to keeping this family together and sane. You're like my sister and I was torn apart at the thought of your death as was your sister."

"You're like my older brother, Eli. Always have been and I love you dearly as well. It's why I've gone through all this trouble to ensure all of your safety. I saved Finn last night because I know that despite what he has done to the lot of you, you still love him. Especially Niklaus. He hides his affections because he's worried you'll leave him one day but I know that he cares a great deal about what all of you think of him. So I will tell you what I told him last night. I'm not going anywhere, Elijah. I won't be leaving any of you for a very long time. Now that my vampirism is more prominent, the only thing that has changed is that I will need to add a bit of blood to my diet. In the future, do remember I am immortal and will always come back to my family."

He smiles at her but can tell there is something off so he calls her out on it. "You've done something, haven't you?" She sighs but nods as she turns back to her children to get them dressed before checking on Hope in case Hayley hadn't.

"After I fed yesterday, I walk outside to discover I could walk in the sun without a daylight ring. It made me wonder if I still had magic and I do. I used that to get to New Orleans and the first person I saw was Marcel. I told him that I don't think I can ever forgive him, which is true, and I was just so angry that he betrayed us that I reworked the link to Nik's sireline."

"You put it back in place?" He asks in shock and she shrugs.

"Sorta. I left certain people out, Stefan, my sister, Damon, Josh. People I can trust that haven't betrayed me. Everyone else, including Marcel, is right back on the chopping block if they attempt to kill Nik."

"As they should be," Nik says from the doorway and Jessica turns to smiles at him, a gesture which he returns before frowning. "I woke up and you were gone. I worried it was just a dream for a moment until I heard your voice in here."

"And you didn't think to put on any clothes?" She jests, motioning to his boxers.

Klaus smirks, gesturing once again to his briefs. "I had less clothing when I awoke." Elijah looks at the two uncomfortably before clearing his throat.

"I'll leave you two alone."

"Actually, I was wondering if you could watch Carter and Henry. I'm sure Henrik would be up to helping but I need Freya to help me track Lucien," Jessica says, making Klaus frown.
